The metica (plural meticas) was a proposed currency for Mozambique. It was divided into 100 centimos. Coins were produced dated 1975 and banknotes dated 1976. However, these were not put into circulation and the escudo continued to circulate until 1980, when the metical was introduced.[ citation needed ]

Qal'at Bustra or Qalat Bustra is an archaeological site in Lebanon, close to the border of the Sheba Farms region of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, about 5 km ENE of Ghajar. It is situated on a peak of height 786m with a panoramic westward view. Qal'at Bustr is believed to be an ancient Roman sanctuary and was excavated by Israeli archaeologists. Remains found at the site include a farmhouse and temple dating from the Hellenistic and Roman period.
Elections to Cornwall County Council were held on 5 May 1977. The whole council of seventy-nine members was up for election and the result was that the Independents, despite losing nine seats, comfortably retained control, winning sixty-four seats. The Conservatives gained eight seats, ending as the second largest political group with thirteen, while Labour remained with only one member, the Ecology Party also won one, and no one was elected as a representative of the Liberal Party.
