Mr Gay Sweden

Mr Gay Sweden is a beauty pageant for gay Swedes. The contest is held at Berns in Berzelii Park, in Stockholm, Sweden. It was created by the Swedish gay magazine and Internet community Qruiser in 1999. Since 2005, the winner represents the country at the Mr Gay Europe pageant. The winner is traditionally announced by SMS-voting after hot picks by a panel of celebrity judges.

Wizex Dansband from Sweden

Wizex is a Swedish dansband formed in Osby in 1973. It purchased the rights to the name from a band that started as Ulrik Wittmans Kvintett in 1957. When Ulrik Wittman left the band in 1963 they started to use the name Wizex. When read out the name sounds like "The Six of Us", "vi sex", in Swedish, and it was six persons left in the band when they changed the name. Today's band had six founders and was allowed to purchase the name, and hence use 1973 as the starting point.

Carina Berg Swedish comedian and television presenter

Carina Lilly Berg Luuk is a Swedish comedian and television presenter. Berg grew up in Åkersberga, studied the aesthetics program at Danderyds gymnasium and then went on to study radio at Kaggeholms folkhögskola. She used to be married to and has a son with Kristian Luuk, who she met in 2005 when they shared presenter duties for the TV4 show God natt, Sverige, Berg's television debut. Along with Christine Meltzer she won a Kristallen-award in 2015 for "Best female television presenter". Berg is since December 2018 married to footballer Erik Berg.

Musikhjälpen is the Swedish version of the Dutch Serious Request radio and television campaign. The show is an appeal for money which each year helps a certain cause. Three radio/television personalities are locked inside a glass house for 144 hours, and they broadcast live on Swedish public service radio network Sveriges Radio and on public services television through SVT. People send text messages requesting a song, with each text costing 50, 100, 200, or 500 Swedish kronor. In later year an Musikhjälpen-app is used for requesting songs as well.

Kristian Gidlund

Kristian Olof Erik Gidlund was a Swedish musician and author. He played drums in the rock band Sugarplum Fairy. He hosted Sommar i P1 on Swedish radio and released one book. In 2011 Gidlund was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and died from the disease in 2013 four days short of his 30th birthday.

Leif Bloms was a dansband in Växjö in Sweden. scoring chart successes at the Swedish album chart during the mid-late 1970s. On 31 December 1995 the band was disbanded after singing and playing together for almost 40 years. Starting with the 1981 album Håll dig kvar, the band's singer was Mona Gustafsson, who wrote the band's 1992 song "Dej ska jag älska all min tid" which won the 1992 Hänt song contest in Älvsjö. After the band was disbanded, Mona Gustafsson, Patrik Ahlm and René Saulesco founded another dansband, Mona G:s orkester.

Fredrik Svensson (presenter) Swedish television personality

Erik Fredrik Christian Svensson is a Swedish television personality and presenter. He is the sidekick of David Lindgren in Melodifestivalen 2018 as "Fab Freddie". He has earlier been a television presenter for the Barnkanalen show Morgonshowen. In 2017, he presented the Barnkanalen kids show Random Mix.

Einár (rapper) Swedish rapper (2002–2021)

Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg, who was commonly known as Einár, was a Swedish rapper. He released four albums, two of which topped the Swedish album chart. In 2019, he won the Musikförläggarnas pris for Breakthrough of the Year and in 2020 he won two Grammis, Sweden's oldest pop music awards. Two of his singles peaked at number one on the Swedish singles chart and four have been certified platinum by the Swedish Recording Industry Association (SRIA). He is also featured on the number-one single "Gamora" by the group Hov1.

Ivar Arpi Columnist and debater

Ivar Arpi is a Swedish columnist and debater. He has written op-eds for Göteborgsposten, Hallandsposten and Svenska Dagbladet. Arpi supports freedom of speech and believes that pluralism of opinion is important for society to develop.

Established by Swedish magazine QX in 1999, the Gaygalan Awards are an annual event created to hand out prizes for LGBT achievements. In 2004, the gala was broadcast for the first time on Sveriges Television when it was held at Hamburger Börs with Annika Lantz as the host.
