Mt. Fuji Records was an independent record label based in Seattle, Washington. [1] Their roster included rock bands such as Little Brazil, The Cops and Slender Means. As of 26 November 2012, they are defunct. [2]
Mount Fuji is an active stratovolcano located on the Japanese island of Honshū, with a summit elevation of 3,776.24 m. It is the tallest mountain in Japan, the second-highest volcano located on an island in Asia, and seventh-highest peak of an island on Earth. Mount Fuji last erupted from 1707 to 1708. The mountain is located about 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Tokyo and is visible from the Japanese capital on clear days. Body Count is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1990. The group is fronted by Ice-T, who first established himself as a rapper but co-founded the group with lead guitarist Ernie C out of their interest in heavy metal music. Ice-T took on the role of vocalist and writing the lyrics for most of Body Count's songs, while Ernie C has been responsible for writing the group's music.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama in 1996. For its entire career, the band has consisted of vocalist Masafumi Gotoh, guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, and drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi. Starting out as a college band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a series of independent EPs featuring lyrics mostly sung in English. In 2002, they released their major-label EP debut Hōkai Amplifier, from that point singing their lyrics in Japanese. The band's musical style is influenced by seminal Western alternative rock acts as well as their own local Japanese indie-rock and punk scene. Their songs incorporate various aspects of the genres, most typically expressing fast tempos and prominent power chord guitar riffs in addition to rhythmic groove and emotional lyrics. Despite the indie nature of their music, the band has enjoyed worldwide commercial success in addition to critical acclaim. Asian Kung-Fu Generation has been cited as one of the best, most balanced modern rock bands to emerge from Japan in the 2000s.

The Format was an American indie rock band formed by Nate Ruess and Sam Means. Their style can be considered a mixture of indie, alternative, punk and folk music, with elements of 1960s and 1970s pop music. Though Means and Ruess are the foremost members of the band, they have played, toured, and recorded with Mike Schey, Mark Buzard, Don Raymond, and for the DVD recording and summer 2007 tour, The Honorary Title's drummer Adam Boyd. The Format chose their name to make fun of the music industry's inclination towards a cookie-cutter "format" for a hit. Formed in 2002, the band announced a hiatus on February 4, 2008. On February 4, 2020, they announced a return from their hiatus for a tour of special shows that were later cancelled due to the pandemic.

Slender Means (2003–2010) was an indie rock band from Seattle, Washington. Their debut album, Neon & Ruin on Mt. Fuji Records, was released Tuesday, August 23, 2005, on Mt. Fuji Records. In 2007 they put out a five-song E.P. containing previously unreleased material and a live track from the 90.3 KEXP show, Audio Oasis. On November 15, 2009, they released their 2nd LP "Adrift In The Cosmos." The writing of their 3rd LP came to an abrupt halt at the end of 2010 when the band decided to take an extended hiatus until finally announcing they had officially broken up. Some of the other members are still busy playing in other projects. Eric Wennberg had a project called Mal de Mer, and more recently joined up with The Young Evils. Eric and Josh and Paul have also been recording some material in a new project called, Timbre Barons. Paul Pugliese is playing in the surfy, gypsy jazz trio "Johnny NordstrUm and the Retailers." Dave E. Martin joined up with the Pop/Rock band Black Whales in September 2010. He was asked to fill in on keyboards for a show after Mike Bayer decided to leave the band to focus on his other music projects. Black Whales released their debut full-length record "Shangri-La Indeed!"on June 28, 2011. Martin contributed keyboards to 6 tracks and a musical saw track that was looped at the beginning of the album's opening song. Sonny Votolato recently played bass on his brother Rocky's "Television Of Saints" record. In March 2012, Sonny, Paul and Dave reunited to form the new band "Bye Gones" with Drummer Abdon Valdez. Their first show was played at Sweet Lou's in North Seattle on August 18, 2012. Bye Gones was a very short lived project and came to an end around October 2012. However, Martin has continued to write songs for yet another project under the moniker, Ghost Pains along with Absolute Monarchs drummer Michael Stubz.
Aokigahara, also known as the Sea of Trees, is a forest on the northwestern flank of Mount Fuji on the island of Honshu in Japan, thriving on 30 square kilometres (12 sq mi) of hardened lava laid down by the last major eruption of Mount Fuji in 864 CE. The western edge of Aokigahara, where there are several caves that fill with ice in winter, is a popular destination for tourists and school trips. Parts of Aokigahara are very dense, and the porous lava rock absorbs sound, contributing to a sense of solitude that some visitors attribute to the forest.
Mount Yōtei is an active stratovolcano located in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, Hokkaidō, Japan. It is also called Yezo Fuji or Ezo Fuji (蝦夷富士), "Ezo" being an old name for the island of Hokkaido, because it resembles Mount Fuji. The mountain is also known as Makkari Nupuri (マッカリヌプリ) and Mount Shiribeshi. It is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan.
Little Brazil is a four-piece rock band formed in 2002 in Omaha, Nebraska by Landon Hedges of Desaparecidos and formerly of The Good Life. Originally he intended to use the name Little Brazil for his solo work, yet he recruited his friends Dan Maxwell on bass and Corey Broman on drums, who were in Secret Behind Sunday and Son, Ambulance. The last member was guitarist Austin Britton, who Landon met at an open mic night.

In computing, the burst cutting area (BCA) or narrow burst cutting area (NBCA) refers to the circular area near the center of a DVD, HD DVD or Blu-ray Disc, where a barcode can be written for additional information such as ID codes, manufacturing information, and serial numbers. The BCA can be written during mastering and will be common for all discs from that master or, more usually, will be written using a YAG laser to "cut" the barcode into the aluminum reflective layer of the finished disc, potentially adding a unique barcode to each manufactured disc.

The United Nations Climate Change Conferences are yearly conferences held in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). From 2011 to 2015 the meetings were used to negotiate the Paris Agreement as part of the Durban platform, which created a general path towards climate action. Any final text of a COP must be agreed by consensus.
Acid Mt. Fuji is the second studio album by Japanese electronic producer Susumu Yokota, originally released in 1994 on the Japanese label Sublime Records and later remastered and reissued in 2018 on Midgar.
