He was an opening batsman who played 76 test and 122 one-day matches for Pakistan. After retiring from professional cricket, he has had a number of administrative positions in the cricketing world, including two stints as coach for Pakistan in 1993 and 2001, for Kenya and for several other teams. He was born in Lahore, Punjab.

It stars Fardeen Khan, Sushmita Sen and Ishita Sharma in the lead roles whilst Shah Rukh Khan makes a special appearance. It was released on 8 January 2010 and was one of the first Bollywood releases of 2010. Dulha Mil Gaya was panned by critics and did poorly at the domestic box office, earning back roughly half its budget, but was a hit overseas; it was the final film of Fardeen Khan's career before coming back to acting in Visfot.

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Aanand L. Rai and Krishika Lulla. The film is a sequel to the 2016 film Happy Bhag Jayegi. It stars Diana Penty as the eponymous character from the first film and Sonakshi Sinha as her namesake. The production features an ensemble cast consisting of Penty, Sinha, Jimmy Sheirgill, Piyush Mishra, Ali Fazal, and Jassi Gill. The film was released on 24 August 2018 to mixed reviews from critics.

The Germany cricket team toured Belgium in May 2019 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. These were the first T20I fixtures to be played by either team, after the International Cricket Council announced that all matches played between Associate Members after 1 January 2019 would have the full T20I status. The series took place at the Royal Brussels Cricket Club in Waterloo, just south of Brussels, with Germany using the fixtures as part of their preparation for the European Regional Qualifying tournament for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier. Germany won te series 3-0.
