Muhammad Ali Aman

Muhammad Ali Aman is former member of the Singapore Malay National Organisation, which is also known as Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Singapura (PKMS), a major political party in Singapore. He is also the former vice-chairman of Singapore Democratic Alliance, a political alliance of four political parties. He was the former President that involved in youth work through Motivasi Youth Association, a group for Malay youths. A graduate with a degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Technology, Malaysia, Aman is an executive director of an estate management firm.

Aman was a former unionist and had served as branch chairman of the 40,000 member United Workers of Electronic and Electrical Industries. In December 2002, he was dismissed from this post after he refused a union directive to renounce his membership of SDA. The union is affiliated with the National Trades Union Congress. [1]

Parti Rakyat Malaysia

The Parti Rakyat Malaysia is a democratic socialist political party in Malaysia. Established on 11 November 1955 as Partai Ra'ayat, it is one of the older political parties in Malaysia and traces its pedigree to the anti-colonial movements from the pre World War II period like the Kesatuan Melayu Muda. After being politically inactive for a long time, the party contested in Penang, Kedah and Selangor in the 2018 elections. However, the party failed to win a single state or parliamentary seat. It is unrepresented in the Dewan Rakyat and state legislative assemblies of Malaysia.

13 May incident Sino-Malay sectarian violence in Kuala Lumpur

The 13 May 1969 incident was the Sino-Malay sectarian violence that took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on that date in 1969. The riot occurred in the aftermath of the 1969 Malaysian general election when opposition parties made gains at the expense of the ruling coalition, the Alliance Party. Official reports put the number of deaths due to the riots at 196, although Western diplomatic sources at the time suggested a toll of close to 600, with most of the victims Chinese. The racial riots led to a declaration of a state of national emergency or Darurat by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong resulting in the suspension of the Parliament by the Malaysian government, while the National Operations Council (NOC), also known as the Majlis Gerakan Negara (MAGERAN), was established as a caretaker government to temporarily govern the country between 1969 and 1971.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu is a right-wing political party in Malaysia. It is currently the largest political party in Sarawak, with strongholds only in the rural areas. Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu was formed from the combination of three parties in Sarawak; Parti Negara Sarawak, Barisan Rakyat Jati Sarawak and Parti Pesaka Anak Sarawak. The formation of the party was for the purpose of the improvement of the livelihood and protect the rights of the Bumiputera in many fields such as politics, economy and social. The party is also one of the former constituents of the Barisan Nasional coalition. Following the fall of BN in the 2018 general election and in the aftermath of a meeting between all Sarawak-based BN coalition parties on 12 June 2018, PBB left the coalition to formed a new Sarawak-based coalition, Sarawak Parties Alliance.

Singapore Alliance Party

The Singapore Alliance Party, or sometimes known as just Singapore Alliance, was a coalition of political parties formed in July 1961 that contested several elections in Singapore, notably the 1955 Elections of Singapore and the 1963 Elections of Singapore. It consisted of the local branch of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), the Malay Union, the local chapters of the Malayan Chinese Association and the Malayan Indian Congress, and former Chief Minister Lim Yew Hock's Singapore People's Alliance (SPA).

The 1964 Singapore Riots refer to a series of communal race-based civil disturbances between the Malays and Chinese in Singapore following its merger with Malaysia in 1963, and were considered to be the "worst and most prolonged in Singapore’s postwar history". The term is also used to refer specifically to two riots on 21 Jul 1964 and 2 Sep 1964, particularly the former, during which 23 people died and 454 others suffered severe injuries.

Ketuanan Melayu is a political concept emphasising Malay preeminence in present-day Malaysia. The Malays of Malaysia claimed a special position and special rights owing to their long domicile and the fact that the present Malaysian state itself evolved from a Malay polity. Alex Yam Ziming is a Singaporean politician. A member of the Singapore-based People's Action Party (PAP) since 1999, he currently serves as mayor of North West District and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Marsiling–Yew Tee Group Representation Constituency (GRC) for Yew Tee. He is the chairman of the Marsiling-Yew Tee Town Council.

Patrick Tay Teck GuanBBM is a Singaporean politician. A member of the People's Action Party (PAP), he has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pioneer SMC since 10 July 2020 and the chairman of the West Coast Town Council.

Malay Union

The Malay Union was a political party in Singapore.

The United Alliance of Sabah is a political coalition bringing together Sabah-based opposition parties in Malaysia established by Joseph Pairin Kitingan following the fall of the Barisan Nasional coalition in the 2018 Malaysian general election. The new coalition was intended to include the United Sabah Party, Homeland Solidarity Party and remnants of former Sabah BN members, mainly those of the United Malays National Organisation's Sabah branch led led by Musa Aman who was rumoured to have intended on joining to PBS. However, no such move has materialised, with Musa Aman remaining a member of UMNO and BN.

Yamani Hafez Musa

Yamani Hafez bin Musa is a Malaysian politician. He is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sipitang in Sabah. Presently he is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU), a component of Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He was formerly representing the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the Barisan Nasional (BN) ruling coalition then before turning to an Independent politician in 2018; and joining BERSATU later in 2019.

The second Sarawak district council elections was held in 1963. The results of the election was announced from 18 to 25 June 1963. A total of 185,000 voters cast votes in this election. A total of 998 candidates were vying for 429 district council seats in Sarawak.
