The Government of Sindh is the provincial government of the province of Sindh,Pakistan. Its powers and structure are set out in the provisions of the 1973 Constitution,in which 30 Districts of 7 Divisions under its authority and jurisdiction.
The High Court of Sindh is the highest judicial institution of the Pakistani province of Sindh. Established in 1906,the Court situated in the provincial capital at Karachi. The Pakistan Administrative Service,or PAS is an elite cadre of the Civil Services of Pakistan. The Pakistan Administrative Service over the years has emerged as the most consolidated and developed post-colonial institution in Pakistan,with the PAS officers of Grade 22 often seen as stronger than the federal government ministers. The service of PAS is generalist in nature and officers are assigned to different departments all across Pakistan during the course of their careers. Almost all of the country's highest-profile positions such as the Federal Secretaries,the provincial Chief Secretaries,and chairmen of top-heavy organizations like the National Highway Authority,Trading Corporation of Pakistan and State Life Insurance Corporation usually belong to the Pakistan Administrative Service.
The Sindh Health Department is the provincial department that oversees healthcare for the Pakistani province of Sindh. Several are held responsible for running the department including a cabinet minister and health secretary which are members of the Government of Sindh.

Chief Secretary of Balochistan,also referred to as CS Balochistan,is the bureaucratic chief and highest-ranking official of the Government of Balochistan,Pakistan. The appointment of the Chief Secretary is appointed directly by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The position of Chief Secretary is equivalent to the rank of Federal Secretary and the position holder usually belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service.
Grade-22 is the highest attainable rank for a Civil Servant in Pakistan. Grade 22 is equal to a 4-star rank of the Pakistan Armed Forces. With over five hundred thousand civil servants and bureaucrats in Pakistan,only a few dozen officers serve in BPS-22 grade at a given time. Hence,not even 1% of the country's civil servants and/or bureaucrats make it to the highest rank. Officers serving in BPS-22 grade are largely considered to be the most influential individuals in the country.
Sajjad Saleem Hotiana is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served in BPS-22 grade as Chief Secretary Sindh. Hotiana also served as Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan and Senior Member Federal Land Commission. After retirement from active civil service,he tenured as Member of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Maj (r) Azam Suleman Khan is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served as the Provincial Ombudsman of Punjab. He previously served in BPS-22 grade as the Interior Secretary of Pakistan,Chief Secretary Punjab and as Chief Secretary Sindh. Khan was promoted to the rank of Federal Secretary in February 2017 by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Shoaib Mir Memon is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served in BPS-22 grade as the Education Secretary of Pakistan and Chief Secretary Balochistan. Memon belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and was promoted to the rank of Federal Secretary in December 2017. Hailing from Sindh,he has also served as chairman and chief executive officer of State Life and Additional Secretary Establishment Division.
Kamran Lashari is a Pakistani retired civil servant of the Pakistan Administrative Service who served in BPS-22 grade at the top bureaucratic offices including as Petroleum Secretary of Pakistan and Chief Secretary Sindh. Lashari is best known for his five-year stint as chairman of the Capital Development Authority during the government of Pervez Musharraf. After retirement from active civil service,Lashari remained president of the Lahore Gymkhana and director general of the Walled City of Lahore Authority.
Raja Muhammad Abbas is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served in BPS-22 grade as the Federal Secretary Ministry of Interior,Board of Investment,&Ministry of Housing &Works. Interior Secretary of Pakistan and Chief Secretary Sindh. Abbas belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and was a part of Pakistan Navy before joining the elite civil services.
The Sindh Services,General Administration,Coordination Department (SGA&CD) is an influential department of the Government of Sindh in Pakistan. The SGA&CD is administered by the Chief Secretary Sindh.
Mumtaz Ali Shah is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served in BPS-22 grade as the Maritime Secretary of Pakistan and Chief Secretary Sindh. Hailing from Sindh,Shah joined the Pakistan Administrative Service after passing the Central Superior Service examination in 1984.
Muhammad Sualeh Ahmad Faruqi is a Pakistani civil servant who serves in BPS-22 grade,the highest attainable rank for a civil servant. Faruqi belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service and holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics. In 2022 after the retirement of Federal Secretary Rizwan Ahmed,Sualeh Faruqi being the next senior-most grade 22 officer from Sindh was appointed as Member of the Central Selection Board- the prestigious body responsible for promotion of the country's senior civil servants.
Imdad Ullah Bosal is a Pakistani civil servant who serves in BPS-22 grade as Secretary Finance Division. He was the Chief Secretary,Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from February 2023 to March 2023. He belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service.
