Muhammad Khalid Bizenjo is a Pakistani politician and the member-elect of the Senate of Pakistan.

Political career

He was elected to the Senate of Pakistan from Balochistan province representing Balochistan Awami Party. The election was held on 12 September 2020 between him and Maulana Ghousullah. He garnered 38 votes while Ghousullah received 21 votes. [1]

It traces its legacy from the Kalat State National Party of Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo, Mir Gul Khan Nasir and Mir Abdul Aziz Kurd, and is currently headed by Abdul Malik Baloch.

Abdul Latif Afridi is a lawyer serving as the president of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan. Formerly, he was vice-chairman of Pakistan Bar Council and president of Peshawar High Court Bar Association. He also served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan between 1997 and 1999 and leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) Lawyers' Wing. He is a supporter of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).

Gul Khan Nasir

Mir Gul Khan Naseer, also widely regarded as Malek o-Sho'arā Balochistan was a prominent politician, poet, historian, and journalist from Balochistan, Pakistan. Born on 14 May 1914 in Noshki, Gul Khan Naseer was at the forefront of the Baloch nationalist movement and was most active between 1935 and 1980. His father's name was Mir Habib Khan and he belonged to the Paindzai family of the Zagar Mengal sub branch of the Mengal tribe. Mir Gul Khan's mother "Bibi Hooran" belonged to the Rakhshani branch of the Bolazai Badini. Mir Habib Khan had five sons and three daughters. Mir Gul Khan Nasir was number seven among his eight siblings and he was the fourth amongst his brothers (i.e.) Mir Samand Khan, Mir Lawang Khan, Mir Lal Bux, Mir Gul Khan and Col. Sultan Mohammad Khan.

Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo was a Pakistani politician who served as Minister for Maritime Affairs, in Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. He previously served as Minister for Maritime Affairs in the third Sharif ministry. The President of the National Party of Pakistan, Bizenjo had been an elected member of the Senate of Pakistan since 2009 and was a former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He was nominated as senate Chairman by opposition parties Rehbar committee but lost as his own party candidates voted against him.

Mir Nooruddin Mengal

Mir Noor-ud-din Mengal was a senior Baloch politician who was active in Balochistan's political scene for nearly four decades, from 1970 to 2010. He belonged to the famed Zagar Mengal tribe and was the nephew of the Baloch National Poet Mir Gul Khan Nasir. His father's name was Mir Lal Bakhsh Mengal and he had seven siblings. His mother was a prominent member of the Gichki family from Mekran.

National Youth Organisation (Pakistan)

The National Youth Organisation, is a youth organisation active in Pakistan. It was founded by Asfandyar Wali Khan in 2013 and its first meeting was held on 1 June 2013; the members of the meetings were notified as core committee/central advisory body for drafting constitution and manifesto. Its current President is Khushal Khan, son of Afrasiab Khattak who was elected by the Central Council on 7 June 2014 for period of 2 years.

2015 Pakistani Senate election

Senate elections were held in Pakistan on 5 March 2015 to elect the replacements for 52 retiring senators. Those retiring include chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and deputy chairman Sabir Ali Baloch of the upper house. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the majority party in Senate, would lose 21 members, followed by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz would lose 9 and Awami National Party would lose 6 members.

Yaqoob Bizenjo is a Pakistani politician who was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. On May 30, 2009, his father Imam Bheel Bizenjo was placed by US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control on the list of major drug kingpins of the world responsible for almost 33 % of world's Heroin supply.

Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo is a Pakistani politician who is the current Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, in office since August 2018. He has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since November 2002.

2013 Balochistan provincial election

Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Balochistan on 11 May 2013, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status.
