Muhammad Shawez Khan is a Pakistani politician who remained Vice Chairman Hasan Abdal for consecutive four terms. Later he was elected Tehsil Nazim, from 2001 to 2005 and was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from May 2013 to May 2018 and was given the charge of Chairperson of standing committee on Ministry of Religious Affairs and Auqaf.

Early life and education

He was born on 5 March 1953. [1]

He received matriculation level education from Government High School, Hassan Abdal in 1969. [1]

Political career

He was elected Vice-Chairman Baldiya Hasan Abdal for the consecutive four terms. Later he became Tehsil Nazim from 2001 to 2005. He became member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) from Constituency PP-17 (Attock-III) in 2013 Pakistani general election. [2] [3]

Throughout his political career, he has been a member of the Provincial Assembly, been elected as an MNA, and then later became the Punjab Revenue, Relief & Consolidations Minister. During his career, he also served as an advisor to the Chief Minister. He was also the Chairman of the District Council of Mianwali district having been elected in 2016.

Pakistan is a federal republic with three tiers of government: national, provincial and local. Local government is protected by the constitution in Articles 32 and 140-A, and each province also has its own local-government-enabling legislation and ministries responsible for implementation. District councils and metropolitan corporations are respectively the highest rural and urban tiers of local government in the provinces. Both urban and rural local government have two or three tiers in all provinces except Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where councils are not identified as either urban or rural. Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood is a Pakistani businessman and politician who is the chairman of JDW Group. Belonging from Jamal Din Wali Tehsil Sadiqabad of District Rahim Yar Khan, in Punjab. He was elected to the National Assemblies on IJI ticket in 1990–1993, PMLN's ticket from 1993 to 1996 and 1996 to 1999. He was also elected to Punjab Assembly on PML-N ticket from 1988 to 1990, and on PML-F ticket from 2008 to 2012. He remained District Nazim Rahim Yar Khan from 2001 to 2005. In the end of 2012 he left PML-F and joined PPP on desire of then President Asif Ali Zardari who had declared him Governor-designate of Punjab.

Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan is a Pakistani politician. Originating from Kasur, Khan was the mayor of his city in 1997, and had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since 2008 for three consecutive terms. He has served as the Parliamentary Secretary for Finance and Revenue.

Chaudhry Rana Shamshad Ahmad Khan was a Pakistani politician who was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab four times. He served as an MPA from 1992 to 1993, 1997 to 1999, 2002 to 2007 and again from 2013 until his assassination in 2015.
