The Songhua River is one of the primary rivers of China, and the largest tributary of the Amur River. It flows about 1,434 kilometres (891 mi) from the Changbai Mountains on the China–North Korea border through China's northeastern Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces. The river drains 557,180 square kilometres (215,130 sq mi) of land, and has an annual discharge of 2,463 cubic metres per second (87,000 cu ft/s).
The Min River or Min Jiang is a 735-kilometer-long river (457 mi) in central Sichuan province, China. It is a tributary of the upper Yangtze River which it joins at Yibin. Within China, it was traditionally taken as the main course of the upper Yangtze prior to extensive exploration of its sources.
The Black River, also known upstream as the Lixian River in China, is a river located in China and northwestern Vietnam.
The Tekezé or Täkkäze River, also spelled Takkaze, is a major river of Ethiopia. For part of its course it forms a section the westernmost border of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The river is also known as the Setit in Eritrea, western Ethiopia, and eastern Sudan. According to materials published by the Ethiopian Central Statistical Agency, the Tekezé River is 608 kilometers (378 mi) long. The canyon which it has created is the deepest in Africa and one of the deepest in the world, at some points having a depth of over 2000 meters.
Kasese is a town north of Lake George in the Western Region of Uganda. It originally grew around the copper mine at Kilembe, while attention later turned to cobalt mining. It is the chief town of Kasese District, and the district headquarters are located there. Kasese is also the largest town in the Rwenzururu region. Charles Mumbere, the Omusinga of Rwenzururu, maintains a palace in the town.
Belaga is a district in Kapit Division, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is located on the upper reaches of the Rajang River, some 120 kilometers northeast of Kapit as the crow flies but considerably further on the river and slightly less than 100 kilometers from the South China Sea coast near Bintulu. It is located within the Hulu Rajang parliamentary constituency.
Longtan Dam is a large roller-compacted concrete (RCC) gravity dam on the Hongshui River in Tian'e County of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, a tributary of the Xi River and the Pearl River. The dam is 216.2 metres (709.3 ft) high and 849 m (2,785 ft) long; it is the tallest of its type in the world. The dam is intended for hydroelectric power production, flood control and navigation. The dam contains seven surface spillways, two bottom outlets and an underground power station. The Longtan ship lift, part of the dam complex, will be the tallest ship lift system in the world.
The Croton River is a river in southern New York with three principal tributaries: the West Branch, Middle Branch, and East Branch. Their waters, all part of the New York City water supply system, join downstream from the Croton Falls Reservoir. Together, their waters and the reservoirs linked to them represent the northern half of the New York City water system's Croton Watershed.
The Dadu River, known in Tibetan as the Gyelmo Ngul Chu, is a major river located primarily in Sichuan province, southwestern China. The Dadu flows from the eastern Tibetan Plateau into the Sichuan Basin where it joins with the Min River, a tributary of the Yangtze River. Measured from its geographic source, the Dadu is actually longer than the Min and thus forms the main stem of the Min River system.
The Baker River is a river located in the Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Region of the Chilean Patagonia. It is Chile's largest river in terms of volume of water. The river flows out of Bertrand Lake, which is fed by General Carrera Lake. It runs along the east side of the Northern Patagonian Ice Field and empties into the Pacific Ocean, near the town of Caleta Tortel. The river forms a delta, dividing into two major arms, of which only the northernmost one is navigable.

The Rural Municipality of Canwood No. 494 was firstly formed as Rural Municipality (RM) Thompson No. 494 from January 1, 1913 until April 29, 1916 before changing names to Canwood No. 494. It is located in the north central region of the province of Saskatchewan, west of Prince Albert, and completely surrounds the First Nations Indian Reserve of Ahtahkakoop No. 104, as well as partially surrounding the First Nations Indian Reserve of Mistawasis No. 183 and the RM of Big River No. 118.

Simpson Pass, el. 2,107 m (6,913 ft), is a mountain pass on the border between the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, in the area of the Ball Range. It is the prominence col for Mount Ball on the Continental Divide in the vicinity of Sunshine Village ski resort. Simpson River and Simpson Pass are named after Sir George Simpson who first explored the area in 1841.

Tao River is a right tributary of China's Yellow River. It starts in Xiqing Mountains (西倾山) near the Gansu–Qinghai border, flows eastward across Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and then northward more or less along the border between Dingxi Prefecture-level City in the east and Gannan and Linxia Prefectures in the west. It flows into the Yellow River near Liujiaxia Town, just upstream of Liujiaxia Dam.
The Qingshui River is a tributary of the Wu River in Guizhou Province, China. It is interrupted by the Dahuashui Dam.
The Miareja, or Mereya is a river in Belarus and Russia. It is 67 kilometres long, runs in a north-north east direction, and partly runs along the border of the two countries.
The Renzonghai Dam is a rock-fill embankment dam on the Tianwanhe River, a tributary of the Dadu River, in Shimian County of Sichuan Province, China. The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and it supports three power stations downstream, the Renzonghai, Jinwo and Dafa Hydropower Stations. Water from the dam is sent via penstock first to the 246 MW Renzonghai then the 287.2 MW Jinwo and finally, the 246 MW Dafa Hydropower Station. The total installed capacity of the power stations is 779.2 MW Construction on the project began in August 2004 and the Jinwo power station was commissioned in 2007, the Dafa in 2008 and the Renzonghai in 2009. The Jinwo station contains the largest Pelton turbines in Asia, two at 146.3 MW each.
