Murad Naji Hussein (born 12 June 1991) is a Qatari footballer who currently plays for Qatar Stars League side Al-Wakrah. [1] He is a graduate of Qatar's Aspire Academy. [2] He has also appeared for the Qatar national team and the U23 team.
Murad Naji initially expressed his desire in professional football in France, and has received offers from Olympique de Marseille and AS Nancy. [3] While negotiating his contract renewal with Al Rayyan in May 2012, he asked management for a large increase in salary, claiming that he has offers in Europe. Al Rayyan refused, and he joined Qatar SC on a 2-year deal instead. [4]
Born in Algeria, Naji is of Jordanian descent and moved to Qatar at a young age. He Naji received his first call-up to the Qatar Olympic football team in August 2008 by then coach Hassan Harmutallah. [5]
He has played for the Qatar Olympic team in the GGC U23 tournament held in Qatar in August 2011. [6]
Murad Naji graduated from Qatar University with a degree in Sports science.
Al-Rayyan Sports Club is a Qatari multi-sports club fielding teams in a number of sports such as football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis, and swimming. Aspire Zone, also known as Doha Sports City, is a 250-hectare (2.5 km2) sporting complex located in the Baaya district of Al Rayyan, a suburb of Doha, Qatar. Owned by the Aspire Zone Foundation, it was established as an international sports destination in 2003 and in the following year an educational centre for the development of sporting champions was opened. The complex contains several sporting venues, mostly constructed in preparation for the 2006 Asian Games.

Al Rayyan Handball Team is the handball team of Al Rayyan Sports Club, a multisport club based in Omm Alafai in the city of Al Rayyan, Qatar. It currently competes in the Qatar Handball League (QHL). The team was officially founded in 1978, eleven years after the sports club was founded.
Saleh Badr Al-Yazidi is a football player who plays for Lusail as a midfielder. Born in Yemen, he has represented Qatar at youth level. His family is descended from the sheikhdom ruled by the Yazidi tribe in Lower Yafa, a historic state in what was then known as the British Aden Protectorate. The 2016 AFC U-23 Championship was the second edition of the AFC U-23 Championship, the biennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. The tournament was held in Qatar between 12–30 January 2016. A total of 16 teams compete in the tournament. The tournament was also renamed from the "AFC U-22 Championship" to the "AFC U-23 Championship".

Al-Rayyan is a city in the similarly named municipality of Al Rayyan, in Qatar. The city and its suburbs comprise the largest population center in Qatar outside of Doha proper, immediately to its east.
