Mushtaq Guroo is a Kashmiri politician and business tycoon. He is a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from 2024,representing Chanapora Assembly constituency as a member of the Jammu &Kashmir National Conference party. He won this seat by defeating Jammu &Kashmir Apni Party Supremo &Chief Ministerial Candidate Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari with the margin of 6000 votes thus earned the title of a giant slayer in the J&K General Assembly Elections 2024. In addition to his legislative role,he serves as the Political Advisor to the Jammu &Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah since 2018. He is the owner of Shuhul Group of Companies. He is also known as the King of Automotive Sector in J&K. [1] [2]
