Muzafer-ul-Mulk is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013.

National Assembly of Pakistan Legislative Assembly in Pakistan

The National Assembly is the lower house of the bicameral Majlis-e-Shura, which also comprises the Senate of Pakistan. The National Assembly and the Senate both convene at Parliament House in Islamabad. The National Assembly is a democratically elected body consisting of a total of 336 members, before 25th amendment they used to be 342' who are referred to as Members of the National Assembly (MNAs), of which 272 are directly elected members and 70 reserved seats for women and religious minorities. A political party must secure 137 seats to obtain and preserve a majority.

Political career

He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency NA-29 (Swat-I) as a candidate of Awami National Party (ANP) in 2008 Pakistani general election. [1] [2] He received 19,860 votes and defeated an independent candidate, Mian Gul Adnan Aurangzeb. [3] He was criticized for his poor performance during his tenure as Member of the National Assembly. Awami National Party political party

The Awami National Party is a secular and leftist Pashtun nationalist political party in Pakistan. The party was founded by Abdul Wali Khan in 1986 and its current president is Asfandyar Wali Khan, grandson of Bacha Khan, with Mian Iftikhar Hussain serving as the Secretary-General. Part of the PPP-led cabinet of the Pakistani government during 2008−13, the ANP's political position is considered left wing, advocating for secularism, democratic socialism, public sector government, and economic egalitarianism.

2008 Pakistani general election election

General elections were held in Pakistan on 18 February 2008, after being postponed from 8 January 2008. The original date was intended to elect members of the National Assembly, the lower house of the Parliament of Pakistan.

He ran for the seat of the National Assembly from Constituency NA-29 (Swat-I) as a candidate of ANP in 2013 Pakistani general election [2] [1] [5] but was unsuccessful. He received 14,690 voted and lost the seat to Murad Saeed. [6]

2013 Pakistani general election

General elections were held in Pakistan on 11 May 2013 to elect the members of the 14th National Assembly and to the four provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Elections were held in all four provinces, Islamabad's federal capital territory and in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, the Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status. Allegations on systematic vote rigging, favouritism, and ethnicity trends on political parties marred with controversy regarding the nationwide elections; this eventually led to anti-government march that called for electoral reforms in 2014.

Murad Saeed is a Pakistani politician who is the current Federal Minister for Communications and Federal Minister for Postal Services in office since 17 December 2018.
