Mwanaisha Chidzuga is the Deputy government spokesperson of the Government of Kenya. She was appointed on 4 October 2023 by President William Samoei Ruto . [1] [2] [3]

Career

Before becoming a government of Kenya employee, Mwanaisha started her journey in media [4] at Pwani FMa leading radio station in Kenya costal area as a Swahili reporter. She later worked at various media houses such as Media Max`s K24, KTN [5] .

William Kamoti was a Kenyan lawyer and politician who was a member of the 11th and 12th parliament elected from Rabai Constituency in Kilifi County on the ticket of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in 2013. He was the first MP of Rabai Constituency following its creation under the new constitution of Kenya. Mohamed Muktar Shidiye is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 8th and 11th Kenyan parliament for Lagdera Constituency, Garissa County. He was first elected to the 8th national assembly in 1997 on the ticket of Kenya African National Union (KANU) party and served as deputy government chief whip of KANU party in the parliament. Prior to election to the parliament, he served as district officer (DO) for Meru District in the early 1990s.

Mohamed Huka Adan was a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya elected from Mandera South Constituency on the ticket of United Republican Party (URP) and with the support of Jubilee Coalition. In the parliament, he served on the house committee on Education, Research and Technology and spoke 63 times in the parliament during the 11th assembly. He died in March 2019 from an undisclosed illness.

Abdulaziz Ali Farah is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th Kenyan parliament elected from Mandera East Constituency on the ticket of United Republican Party (URP) and with support of Jubilee Coalition in 2013. In the parliament, he served on the Environment & Natural Resources committee. Farah is a Murulle tribesman and received the endorsement of the council of elders of his clan for his first term but was unable to secure the endorsement for a second term in 2017 ending his parliamentary career. He graduated from Kenyatta University in 1995.

Joseph Samal Lomwa is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th Kenyan parliament elected from Isiolo North Constituency on the ticket of United Republican Party (URP) in 2013. He succeeded Mohammed Kuti of the Kenya African National Union (KANU) and Narc-K party. In the parliament, Lomwa served on Public Works, Roads & Transport committee. He did not run for reelection in 2017 as he failed to secure the endorsement of his clan's council of elders.

Kubai Cyprian Iringo is a Kenyan politician and diplomat currently serving as Kenyan ambassador to Somalia. He was a member of the 11th parliament of Kennya elected from Igembe Central Constituency on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and with the support of CORD Coalition. He served on the house committee on Finance, Planning and Trade and spoke 462 times on the floor of the house during the 11th parliament. In December 2013, his party, ODM threatened to expel him and a fellow MP Mpuru Aburi from the party for expressing willingness to work with Jubilee Coalition government. He was appointed Kenyan ambassador to Somalia in October 2023. Iringo is a recipient of Shujaa Parliamentarian Award for “Championing Wananchi in matters of health” (2015) given by Mzalendo Trust.

David Karithi is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya elected from Tigania West Constituency in Meru County on the ticket of The National Alliance (TNA) in 2013. He served on the house committee on Health. According to Mzalendo Trust, Karithi made a total of 34 speeches during the session of the 11th parliament from 2013 to 2016.

Kathuri Murungi is a Kenyan politician and senator for Meru County currently serving as deputy senate speaker of the Kenyan Senate. Previously, he was a member of the lower house of parliament of Kenya for South Imenti Constituency. He is rated by Politrack Africa as the second best performing senator with a percentage point of 72.8.

Bernard Kitungi is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya for Mwingi West Constituency in Mwingi County. He was elected to the parliament on the ticket of Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya (WDM-K) and with the support of CORD Coalition in 2013.

John Muchiri is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya for Manyatta Constituency, Embu County on the ticket of The National Alliance and with support of Jubilee Coalition. Elected in 2013, Muchiri served on the house committee on Public Investment and Departmental Committee on Health. According to Mzalendo Trust, Muchiri is one of the “lazy MPs” in the parliament haven spoken only nine times during his term in the lowerhouse.
