My Damn Channel is an entertainment website and multichannel network which enables comedians, actors, filmmakers, musicians. and brands to co-produce, monetize and distribute original video content. The company has launched several original comedy series on the web, including Wainy Days, Horrible People, You Suck at Photoshop , and videos by Harry Shearer.

Harry Shearer American actor

Harry Julius Shearer is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, writer, musician, radio host, director and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, Shearer began his career as a child actor. From 1969 to 1976, Shearer was a member of The Credibility Gap, a radio comedy group. Following the breakup of the group, Shearer co-wrote the film Real Life (1979) with Albert Brooks and worked as a writer on Martin Mull's television series Fernwood 2 Night.

My Damn Channel was founded in 2007 by Rob Barnett. [1] In 2011, My Damn Channel was named one of Time Magazine's "50 Websites that Make the Web Great". [2] In 2013, My Damn Channel entered into a partnership with digital media firm Blip in which the two companies will share exclusive first-run distribution for four original comedies. [1]

Blip (website) American media platform for web series

Blip was an American media platform for web series content and also offered a dashboard for producers of original web series to distribute and monetize their productions. The company was founded on May 5, 2005, and it was located in New York City and Los Angeles. It was financed by Bain Capital Ventures, Canaan Partners, and Ambient Sound Investments. Blip's mission statement was “to deliver the best original web series to audiences across multiple platforms.” The site showcased a wide variety of dramas, comedies, arts, sports and other shows. Blip was acquired by Maker Studios in 2013 and shut down by them on August 20, 2015. It is in the process of bringing many of its former content producers to a new website, maker.tv.
