Background

Following the end of That's My Boy , the writers Pam Valentine and Michael Ashton wrote a new sitcom for Mollie Sugden titled My Husband and I (which co-starred Sugden's late real-life husband and actor William Moore).

Like That's My Boy, it was also made by Yorkshire Television.

Plot

Nora Powers is the head of personnel at Ashvale Advertising. However, when Nora's retired husband George joins Ashvale Advertising as chief commissionaire, she soon gets very embarrassed.

The character put in two more appearances in 1972, then died off-screen in 1974. Moore was married to actress Mollie Sugden from 29 March 1958 until his death. Their twin sons, Robin and Simon, were born in October 1963. Moore starred with Sugden in My Husband and I.
