Bommireddy Narasimha Reddy, professionally known as B. N. Reddy, was an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was an early figure in the Telugu cinema. Many of his earlier films like Vande Mataram (1939), Devatha (1941) had V. Nagayya as the lead. His Malliswari (1951) starring N. T. Rama Rao and Bhanumathi is considered a timeless Indian film classic. Reddy was the first film personality to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award from South India the highest honorary award of Indian cinema. He was awarded India's third highest civilian honor the Padmabhushan, and the Doctor of Letters.

Bhai Amar Bhai (1996) is a Bengali Romance drama film written & directed by Swapan Saha and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. The film features actors Prosenjit Chatterjee, Chiranjit Chakraborty, Abhishek Chatterjee, Anushree Das, Subhendu Chatterjee and Rozina in the lead roles. The music of the film was composed by Anupam Dutta. It was said to be the first Bengali film to make ₹1 crore at the box office.
Ek Hi Raasta is a 1956 family-drama Indian Hindi film directed and produced by B. R. Chopra. It starred Sunil Dutt, Meena Kumari, Ashok Kumar, Daisy Irani, Jeevan and Shrinath in main roles. The music for the film was scored by Hemanta Mukherjee. Having directed a few films earlier, Chopra formed his own production house B.R. Films in 1955 and Ek Hi Raasta was the first film produced under this banner. The film was remade in Telugu as Kumkuma Rekha (1960) and in Tamil as Pudhiya Pathai (1960).
Do Boond Pani is a 1971 Hindi social drama film produced and directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. Made under the "Naya Sansar" banner; the story, screenplay and dialogues were by Abbas, with additional dialogues by Inder Raj Anand. The music was composed by Jaidev. The cast included Simi Garewal, Jalal Agha and Madhu Chanda and was the debut film of actor Kiran Kumar. The film won the award for Best Feature film on National integration.
Balidan, also called Sacrifice, is a 1927 Indian silent film directed by Naval Gandhi and based on a play by Rabindranath Tagore. It was produced by Orient Pictures Corporation. Balidan is cited as one of the top ten lost films of Indian Cinema by P. K. Nair. Hailed as "an excellent and truly Indian film" by The Indian Cinematograph Committee, 1927–28, Balidan was used by them as one of the films to "show how 'serious' Indian cinema could match Western standards".
Achena Prem is a 2011 Bengali romantic film directed by Swapan Saha and produced under the banner of Maa Kali Films. The movie is an unofficial remake of hit Kannada movie Mussanjemaatu. Surprisingly the fact that it is a remake of the Kannada movie has not been mentioned either on the Achena Prem's official website or in other reviews/articles on the internet. All Kannada songs from the original have been also retained in the movie.
