Myanmar Motion Picture Museum.

The Myanmar Motion Picture Museum is a film museum dedicated to the Cinema of Burma located in Yangon. It is housed in a building which was formerly the headquarters of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organisation (MMPO). [1]

It was established in November 1998 to display the efforts of successful film directors, actors and producers in the motion picture history of the country. [2]

The museum has seven sections devoted to the silver quadrennial (1920–1945), golden quadrennial (1946–1970), diamond quadrennial (1971–1995) and ruby quadrennial (1996–2020) periods, movie props and makeup, technical equipment, and best achievement awards. [1]

The Strand Theatre was an early movie palace located at 1579 Broadway, at the northwest corner of 47th Street and Broadway in Times Square, New York City. Opened in 1914, the theater was later known as the Mark Strand Theatre, the Warner Theatre, and the Cinerama Theatre. It closed as the RKO Warner Twin Theatre, and was demolished in 1987.

Kyaw Thu

Kyaw Thu is a two-time Myanmar Academy Award winning film actor and film director. One of the top leading men of Burmese cinema in the 1980s and 1990s, Kyaw Thu has starred in over 200 films and has directed several successful films. Since the early 2000s, Kyaw Thu has devoted much time to do social work for the poor, and in the process has gradually emerged as a vocal critic of the Burmese military government.

Lu Min is a four-time Myanmar Academy Award winning Burmese film actor and director. He has served as the Chairman of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organisation from 2014 to 2017. Throughout his successful career, he acted in over 1000 films.

Nay Toe is a Arakanese film actor and comedian with the Burmese traditional dance troupe Htawara Hninzi. He won Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards for Best Actor three times: in 2009 with Moe Nya Einmet Myu, in 2015 with Nat Khat Mhar Tae Tite Pwal, and in 2017 with Tar Tay Gyi. He also won the Star Award for the film Bridge of Clouds in 2018. He is one of the highest-paid actors in Myanmar.

Wyne is a film director and screenwriter of Burmese cinema. His career began as a supporting actor in Burmese films. He gained success as a director in the early days of his career by directing music videos. He is best known for directing the short film Ban that Scene.

America: The Motion Picture is a 2021 American adult animated period science fiction comedy film loosely based on the Founding Fathers of the United States and the American Revolution. The film was directed by Matt Thompson and written by Dave Callaham. The film stars Channing Tatum, Jason Mantzoukas, Olivia Munn, Bobby Moynihan, Judy Greer, Will Forte, Raoul Max Trujillo, Killer Mike, Simon Pegg, and Andy Samberg. It is an R-rated, animated parody of George Washington and his fight against the British. Netflix released the film on June 30, 2021. It received generally negative reviews from critics, with criticism for its writing and humor but praise for its concepts, animation, and voice performances.
