City Mart super market is a famous super market in Yangon. Video Production Companies also shoot at City Mart. Gamone Pwint shopping centre is just like Dagon Centre Shopping Mall. Padonemar Park is a small park. An unknown park is not a real park. but it has a fountain and a small pound. [2]
In 2005, there was a bomb explosion at Dagon Centre Shopping Mall. At least 11 people died in four near-simultaneous blasts in Yangon including Dagon Centre Shopping Mall. [5]

Dagon Township is located immediately north of downtown Yangon. The township comprises five wards, and shares borders with Bahan Township in the north, Ahlon Township in the west, Mingala Taungnyunt Township in the east, and Lanmadaw Township, Latha Township and Pabedan Township in the south.
Sanchaung Township is in the north central part of Yangon. The township comprises 18 wards, and shares borders with Kamayut Township in the north, Kamayut township and Bahan Township in the east, Kyimyindaing Township in the west, and Dagon Township and Ahlon Township in the south. The township has 19 primary schools, two middle schools and four high schools. Dagon Center I and II are shopping malls inside the township, where there are many restaurants, fashion shops, and Mingalar Cinema. Other recreational spaces include Happy World recreation center and People's Park.
Kamayut Township is located in the north central part of Yangon. The township comprises ten wards, and shares borders with Hlaing township in the north, Hlaing township and Kyimyindaing township in the west, the Inya Lake, Bahan township and Mayangon township in the east, and Sanchaung township in the south.
Shwepyitha Township is located in the northwestern part of Yangon, Myanmar. The township comprises 27 wards and 3 village tracts, and shares borders with Htantabin Township to the north, Mingaladon Township to the east, the Yangon river to the west, and Insein Township to the south. Incorporated into the city of Yangon in 1986, Shwepyitha is now developing and has basic municipal services. Improvements include tidy and broad main roads and many streets form a grid. There are many gyms and shops around its centre. At night, the street-market of Htan Chauk Pin offers dining. Ruby Market is the most famous market. Bogyoke Aungsan Road, Bayint Naung Road, No.4 Highway, etc. are the most popular roads in the town. The Yangon Circular Railway passes through the township. Its railway station is also at the Yangon-Pyay-Mandalay Railway. Many Language Centres teach English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Many advanced restaurants and hotels as well as motels are there. Many job opportunities can be available in Shwepyithar because it has the Shwepyithar Industrial Zone, Warr Ta Ya Industrial Zone and Thardukan Industrial Zone.Dagon Beverage Company Limited also exists there. Shwe Pyi Thar is an up-and-coming Yangon township.
Yangon City Hall is the city hall of Yangon, the largest city of Myanmar, and the seat of the city's administrative body, Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC). The building is considered a fine example of syncretic Burmese architecture, featuring traditional tiered roofs called pyatthat, and was designed by Burmese architect U Tin, who also designed Central Railway Station. Construction began in 1926 and ended in 1936. The city hall occupies the former site of the Ripon Hall.
Thihathu of Prome, or Sihasura, was viceroy of Prome (Pyay) from 1275 to 1288. He is known in Burmese history for assassinating his own father King Narathihapate, the last sovereign king of the Pagan Empire, in 1287. He was the maternal grandfather of King Swa Saw Ke of Ava.
