The NAIA women's wrestling championship is an annual tournament hosted by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics to determine the national champion of collegiate women's wrestling among its members in the United States. [1]
The tournament consists of both a team national title and individual titles at various weight classes. The NAIA voted to approve women's wrestling as its 28th national championship on April 9, 2022. [2] Prior to this, there had been three NAIA women's wrestling national invitational championships. The winners of the Invitational Championships are still recognized as National Champions. [3]
The 2020 National Invitational was canceled due to COVID-19. [4]
The reigning national champions are Menlo, who won their second title in 2024.

The 2023 championship took place March 10–11, 2023 at the Harold Newman Arena, on the campus of the University of Jamestown, in Jamestown, North Dakota. It was the first sanctioned collegiate women's wrestling championship. [5] The team championship was won by Southern Oregon University, led by first year head coach, Gabrielle Weyhrich. [6]

The 2024 NAIA championship took place March 8-9, 2024 at the Harold Newman Arena, on the campus of the University of Jamestown, in Jamestown, North Dakota. It was the second annual competition and Menlo College won the team championship with 172 points. [9]

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level, which operates in the Upper Midwest of the United States. Nine of its members are in Minnesota, with three members in South Dakota, two members in North Dakota, and one member in Nebraska. It was founded in 1932. With the recent NSIC expansion, the original six member schools have been reunited.

The National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) is a nonprofit association of 162 institutions, conferences, organizations and individuals that organize the wrestling programs of many colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. It is led by founder and executive director Jim Giunta headquartered in Dallas, Texas and built to help the promotion of collegiate wrestling.
The NAIA softball championship, referred to as the NAIA Softball World Series, is the annual tournament to determine the national champions of NAIA collegiate softball in the United States and formerly in Canada. It has been held annually since 1981. The South Commons Complex Sports Complex in Columbus, Georgia is the most recent host, having hosted the tournament since 2021.
The first tier of intercollegiate sports in the United States includes sports that are sanctioned by one of the collegiate sport governing bodies. The major sanctioning organization is the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Before mid-1981, women's top-tier intercollegiate sports were solely governed by the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). The Western Oregon Wolves are the athletic teams that represent Western Oregon University, located in Monmouth, Oregon, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) since the 2001–02 academic year. The Wolves previously competed in the D-II Pacific West Conference (PacWest) from 1998–99 to 2000–01; and in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 1993–94 to 1997–98.
The Chicago State Cougars are the varsity athletic teams representing Chicago State University of Chicago, Illinois in intercollegiate athletics. The university currently sponsors 16 varsity teams. The Cougars compete in NCAA Division I in the Northeast Conference starting in 2024. They were previously members of the Western Athletic Conference from 2013 to 2022.
The Menlo Oaks are the athletic teams that represent Menlo College, located in Atherton, California, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) for most of its sports since the 2015–16 academic year; while its men's & women's wrestling teams compete in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC). The Oaks previously competed in the California Pacific Conference (CalPac) from 1996–97 to 2014–15.
The Reinhardt Eagles are the athletic teams that represent Reinhardt University, located in Waleska, Georgia, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) since the 2009–10 academic year. They were also a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), primarily competing as an independent in the South Region of the Division I level from 1999–2000 to 2000–01. The Eagles previously competed in the Southern States Athletic Conference from 2000–01 to 2008–09. Prior joining the NAIA, Reinhardt was also a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and of the National Small College Athletic Association (NSCAA) until after the 1998–99 school year.
Nicholas Raymond Suriano is an American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler who competes at 57 kilograms. In freestyle, he claimed the 2021 Henri Deglane Grand Prix gold medal and the 2021 Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series silver medal. As a folkstyle wrestler, Suriano was the 2022 NCAA Division I national and Big Ten Conference champion at 125 pounds for the Michigan Wolverines, repeating what he accomplished in 2019 at 133 pounds at Rutgers University, where he also was an NCAA finalist in 2018.
Anthony Luis Echemendía Orduña is a Cuban freestyle and folkstyle wrestler. A two-time Cuban National medalist in freestyle, Echemendia was an NCAA Division I All-American and the Big 12 Conference champion in 2024 out of the Iowa State University.
Final X is an annual series of wrestling events that determine the US Senior World/Olympic Team Members at each weight class.
Vitali Arujau is an American freestyle and former folkstyle wrestler who competes at 61 kilograms. In freestyle, he was the 2023 World Champion, Pan American champion and US National champion.
