In celebration of its twentieth anniversary, a special 20th anniversary team was named by Australia's National Basketball League in 1998.

Andrew Gaze Australian basketball player

Andrew Barry Casson Gaze, AM is an Australian former professional basketball player and coach. He played 22 seasons in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Melbourne Tigers from 1984 to 2005, winning the league's MVP award seven times and winning the scoring title 14 times. He also guided the Tigers to two NBL championships, in 1993 and 1997, and was named an All-NBL First Team member for a record high 15 consecutive years. Gaze has been described as one of the greatest players Australia has ever produced.

To mark its 25th anniversary during the 2003–2004 season, the National Basketball League (NBL) announced its 25th Anniversary All-Time team on 9 December 2003. As a way of recognising the single best and most influential player in league history, the player who received the most first-placed votes in the voting process for this team was also named the NBL 25th Anniversary Most Valuable Player.

James Crawford is an American former professional basketball player who played in the Australian National Basketball League from 1982 to 2003.

Andrew Mitchell Vlahov is an Australian retired professional basketball player. He played his entire eleven-year professional career for the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL), with whom he won two championships in 1995 and 2000.

Rodney Eugene Monroe is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and other leagues. He was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 1991 NBA draft. A 6'3" shooting guard, Monroe played only one year in the NBA with the Hawks during the 1991–92 season, appearing in 38 games and scoring a total of 131 points. Monroe also played professionally in Australia, Greece, Israel, Italy, Fabriano Basket a.k.a. Banca Marche Fabriano (1999–2002) and Euro Roseto (2002–2003), Spain, and the Philippines. Currently, Monroe is the director of basketball operations and men's basketball coach at SouthLake Christian Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Marcus "Mark" Dalton is an Australian former basketball player who played in the National Basketball League from 1984–1999. He is now a coach.

Scott C. Fisher is a retired American-Australian basketball player and former head coach of the National Basketball League's Perth Wildcats. He is currently the head coach for the Ohlone College Renegades basketball team. During his playing career, Fisher played mostly in Australia's NBL where he twice won the league's MVP award in 1989 and 1992. Fisher played for the North Melbourne Giants and Perth in the NBL, winning the championship three times in 1989, 1995 and 1999–2000. He also played for the Australian national team at the 1996 Olympic Games and the 1998 FIBA World Championship.

Dwayne Eddie McClain is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 1985 NBA draft.

Calvin Thomas "C. J." Bruton, Jr. is an American-Australian former professional basketball player who played the majority of his career in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). Bruton moved to Australia at the age of three when his father Calvin Bruton, Sr. moved to Australia to play for the Brisbane Bullets in 1979. Bruton played for numerous NBL teams over his career: Perth Wildcats, Brisbane Bullets, Wollongong Hawks, Canberra Cannons, Sydney Kings and New Zealand Breakers. On 10 October 2013, Bruton was named in the Sydney Kings 25th Anniversary Team.

Paul Andrew Rogers is an Australian retired basketball player who played in the National Basketball League. He was also drafted in the 1997 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers but never played an NBA game.
