NK Veres Rivne is a Ukrainian women's football team of NK Veres Rivne. Based out of Kostopil, Rivne Oblast, until 2021 it was a separate women's football club Rodyna. [2]

History

The club was founded in 2003 [3] based out of the Kostopil regional sports boarding school (KOLISP) which itself was founded couple of years prior. The club was named after a local food factory "Rodyna". In 2005–2020 the club played at Higher League of the Ukrainian Women's League. The club's first team played for 16 seasons at the Women's Higher League recording 212 games played winning 39 drawing 30 and losing 143 times earning 147 points. It also scored 200 goals and allowed 664.

In April 2021, Kolos Stadium was rebuilt, while NK Veres Rivne continued its negotiations to acquire the local women's team. [1]

Its first training session under new brand, the team conducted in July 2021. [4]

The 2015–16 Ukrainian Second League was the 25th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competition commenced on 26 July 2015 with a full round of matches. From 1 November 2015 to 26 March 2016 the competition was on winter break. The competition resumed with Round 16 and completed on 1 June 2016.

The 2017–18 season was Veres Rivne's 4th season in the top Ukrainian football league. Veres competed in Premier League and Ukrainian Cup. Despite finishing in third place in 2016–17 Ukrainian First League club was promoted after the controversial decision of the Ukrainian Premier League which denied Desna Chernihiv who finished in second place a licence to participate in the league, indicating that the club was not able to guarantee for an adequate financing of their infrastructure.

The 2021–22 season was FC Desna Chernihiv's 61st season in existence and the club's fourth consecutive season in the top flight of Ukrainian football. In summer of 2021 the club fails to qualify for the cups and according with the president of the club, Volodymyr Levin, said that the club has a 4-month debt to the players for the payment of salaries and the management of the UPL club decided to cut the budget for the 2021/22 season. A number of players have left Desna. The club begins the rejuvenation of the team, leaving starting players who have made the history of the club and begins to develop the team's academy and choose some of Desna 2 and Desna 3 players. On 15 July 2021 the cooperation with the sponsor Parimatch was extended. In summer 2021, the team was requalified and new young players has been added into the club with good results at the first four matches in Ukrainian Premier League.
