In professional wrestling, a cruiserweight is a wrestler who competes in a Cruiserweight division. The term was first coined in United States in 1996 by World Championship Wrestling. Prior to this, the terms "Light Heavyweight" and "Junior Heavyweight" were more commonly in use. A cruiserweight division is traditionally open to wrestlers weighing 220 lb (100 kg) or less. The older term junior heavyweight is still favored in Japan, where many titles for lighter-weight competitors are called junior heavyweight titles. Prominent titles include New Japan Pro Wrestling's IWGP, Pro Wrestling Noah's GHC, and All Japan Pro Wrestling's World championships.
Wagner Brown is a Jamaican born professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, SWB or Slyck Wagner Brown. Brown currently wrestles on the Independent circuit in the Northeastern United States. Additionally, SWB was appointed head trainer at Killer Kowalski's school in Boston. Brown also had a longtime association with women's wrestler April Hunter. The duo held tag team titles together in Jersey All Pro Wrestling and Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling. Brown now runs his wrestling training school, Test of Strength, out of East Hartford, Connecticut and runs monthly shows.
The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Hall of Fame is an American professional wrestling hall of fame maintained by the NWA. It was established in 2005 to honor select wrestling personalities, mostly alumni of the NWA. Inductees receive commemorative medals that have their names inscribed on it with the logo of the NWA.
The Century Wrestling Alliance, formerly known as NWA Cold Front and NWA New England, is a New England-based American independent wrestling promotion located in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded by Tony Rumble in 1989, a retired wrestler and manager in International World Class Championship Wrestling, and included much of its roster prior to and following its close during the early 1990s. The promotion eventually replaced IWCCW as the dominant independent promotion in the Greater Boston area and, in 1997, became an affiliated territory of the National Wrestling Alliance. As of 2007, it is the longest-running independent wrestling promotion operating in New England under a single owner, Ellen Magliaro.

William Perry Blake III, better known by the ring name "Hard Rock" Ricky Blues, is a semi-retired American professional wrestler and trainer who competed in the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic independent circuit during the 1990s and 2000s. He is regarded as a pioneering cruiserweight wrestler and dominated the Baltimore-area, especially in the Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation and Maryland Championship Wrestling, in the early to mid-1990s.
Chad Slivenski is a semi-retired American professional wrestler, known by his ringname Chad Bowman, who competed in East Coast and Mid-Atlantic independent promotions during the 1990s and 2000s. Early in his career, Slivenski spent time in regional promotions such as the United States Wrestling Association and Smokey Mountain Wrestling before their close in the mid-1990s, and made occasional appearances as a preliminary wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment.
NWA Shockwave was a professional wrestling promotion that was founded by Billy Firehawk in Staten Island, New York in 2001, and later relocated to Wayne, New Jersey. It was the earliest promotion to bring in major stars to Central New Jersey, many being seen in live events for the first time, and attracted a loyal following for its traditional "family friendly" style of wrestling. It was the single major promotion of this type to run New Jersey, other rival promotions favoring hardcore-style wrestling, and was at one time considered the top promotion in the region along with Jersey All Pro Wrestling.

The CSWF Hardcore Championship was a professional wrestling hardcore heavyweight championship in the CyberSpace Wrestling Federation. It was among the first original titles of the CyberSpace Wrestling Federation promotion. The inaugural champion was JD Dreamer, who defeated Big Q and Lucifer Grimm in a three way match on October 19, 2002 to become the first CSWF Hardcore Champion. Dreamer was the only recognized champion and the title was retired when was appointed the promotion's Director of Authority by CSWF Commissioner Larry Zbyszko on February 21, 2003.
Justin McIsaac is a semi-retired American professional wrestler, also known by his ring names "The Alpha Male" Justin Powers or Justin Shaype, who competes in independent promotions on the East Coast and Northeastern United States. During the early 2000s, he was a mainstay of New England Championship Wrestling and Steve Bradley's Wrestling Federation of America as well as competing for Yankee Pro Wrestling, the Eastern Wrestling Alliance and NWA Shockwave where he won the internet championship in 2003.
The CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Championship is a professional wrestling main championship in Carolina Wrestling Federation Mid-Atlantic. It was the original cruiserweight title of the Carolina Wrestling Federation promotion, later used in the Frontier Wrestling Alliance (2001-2004) and AWA Superstars (2005-2007) as a regional title, officially representing the Mid-Atlantic United States, while it was a member of the respective governing bodies. It remained active until November 2003 when the CWF reclassified the title as a television championship.
