The Coimbatore Nagercoil Fast Passenger is an Indian passenger train which runs from Coimbatore Junction to Nagercoil Junction. [1] It was one of the long-distance passenger shuttles in India. This Fast Passenger Service is converted into Express Train service and renamed as Coimbatore Nagercoil Express in the year 2020. Currently it runs as a day-time express service from Coimbatore to Nagercoil and vice versa. Owing to the conversion from fast passenger to express service, some of the stops for this train have been eliminated. [2] [3]

The 16525 /16526 IslandExpress is an Indian Railways train running between Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Bangalore City railway station, Bangalore and Kanyakumari railway station, Kanyakumari. Train no. 16526 runs from Bengaluru to Kanyakumari, and Train No. 16525 runs in the reverse direction. The train runs daily through the state of Kerala and covers the 944 km journey in about 19 hours 15 minutes.

The Rameswaram Express, previously known as Boat Mail or Indo-Ceylon Express, is an express train that connects Rameswaram with the state capital Chennai via Devakottai. During 1900's it was a combined train and steamer ferry service between India and Ceylon. Connecting Chennai and Colombo, the system initially utilised a rail-to-sea operation, but changed to a rail-to-sea-to-rail operation. Passengers could buy a single ticket for the journey. Now at present, it runs from Chennai Egmore to Rameswaram via Villuppuram, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Pudukkottai, Karaikkudi, Devakottai, Manamadurai, Paramakkudi, Ramanathapuram, Mandapam and Pamban.

Latest stainless steel LHB coaches, manufactured at Kapurthala Coach Factory are being used for AC Double Decker trains. The Howrah–Dhanbad AC Double Decker Express was the first of its type to be introduced.
