Najeh Rahim (born 27 September 1959) is a former Iraqi football forward who played for Iraq in the 1985 Arab Nations Cup and 1985 Pan Arab Games.
Faisal I bin al-Hussein bin Ali al-Hashemi was King of Iraq from 23 August 1921 until his death in 1933. A member of the Hashemite family, he was a leader of the Great Arab Revolt during the First World War, and ruled as the unrecognized King of the Arab Kingdom of Syria from March to July 1920 when he was expelled by the French.

Ahmed Radhi Humaiesh Al-Salehi was an Iraqi footballer who played as a striker. Nicknamed "The Magician" in his playing days and regarded as one of Iraq's and Asia's best players of all time, Radhi scored the only Iraqi goal at the FIFA World Cup in its 1986 edition, a low shot to the corner of the net against Belgium in a 2–1 defeat. He was voted the Asian Footballer of the Year in 1988.

The 1985 Arab Cup Final was a football match that took place on 12 July 1985, at the King Fahd Stadium in Ta'if, Saudi Arabia, to determine the winner of the 1985 Arab Cup. Iraq B defeated Bahrain 1–0, with Anad Abid scoring for Iraq, to help it win the tournament. Iraq played with the B team in the tournament.
The 1977 Shia protests in Iraq, or the Safar uprising, were a series of demonstrations and riots against the Iraqi government in Karbala and Najaf Governorates, the demonstrations started on 4 February 1977 and finished on 9 February in the same year. Demonstrators had taken to the streets to demonstrate against the Iraqi government because they had blocked Arbaʽeen Pilgrimage. The Iraqi security forces killed and arrested many protesters and presented them to trial in a revolution court, the revolution court declared execution for eight demonstrators and life imprisonment for 16 demonstrators.
