Nakhchivan City Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nakhchivan City, Azerbaijan. [1] It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Araz PFK. The stadium holds 12,800 people. [2] For the stadium's first game, the announced attendance was 4,000. [3]

Sadarak is a town and the most populous municipality in the Sadarak District of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. It is located to the north-east of the district center, on the Sadarak plain. Its population is engaged in grain-growing, vine-growing and animal husbandry. There are wine processing plants, a branch of the garment factory of Nakhchivan, two secondary schools, a primary school, kindergartens, technical creativity centre, cultural house, club, library, children's music school, hospital, sanitary-epidemiological station, television transmitter and three mosques in the town. It has a population of 7,260.

The Nakhchivan culture, also known as the Kizilveng culture or Painted Pottery culture, was formed during the Middle Bronze Age in the 3rd and 2nd millennium BC. The main center of painted pottery were Nakhchivan and the Arpachay Valley, in Anatolia, Urmia lake basin and the South Caucasus. In Azerbaijan, this culture was studied on the basis of archeological materials from the I Kultepe, II Kultepe, Shahtakhti, Gizilburun, Nahjir, Shortepe, Garachuk, II Gazanchi qala and other monuments. The painted pottery culture was studied by Azerbaijani archaeologists such as O. Habibullayev, V. Bakhshaliyev, V. Aliyev and A. Akbarov. According to V. Bakhshaliyev, the formation of this culture dishes in Nakhchivan was connected with the formation of the city states.
Nakhchivan Economic Region is one of the 14 economic regions of Azerbaijan. It borders Iran to the south, Turkey to the west, and Armenia to the north and east. The region covers the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and consists of the districts of Babek, Julfa, Kangarli, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, Sharur and the city of Nakhchivan. It has an area of 5,500 square kilometres (2,100 sq mi). Its population was estimated to be at 461.5 thousand people in January 2021.
