Due to the variety of musical genres he can perform in, Sarkodie is referred to as a "multifaceted rapper" and frequently raps in his native language, Twi.
Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, who is better known by her stage name Efya, is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and actress from Kumasi. She is the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the late television show Greetings From Abroad. Efya got her first exposure to fame when she participated in the maiden edition of the Stars of the Future talent show. She won Best Female Vocal Performance at the Ghana Music Awards in four succession, beginning in 2011. Moreover, she was applauded for her performance at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, is a Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae musician.

The 2016 Ghana Music Awards was the 17th edition of the Ghana Music Awards which was held on May 7, 2016, at the Accra International Conference Center in Accra, Ghana and was hosted by Chris Attoh, DJ Black and Naa Ashorkor. E.L was the biggest winner at the event, taking home a total of five awards including the coveted 'Artiste of the Year' with Sarkodie and Bisa Kdei won four awards each.
