After an investigation,the Davidson County District Attorney declined to prosecute Lippert on any charges,a decision that was protested by several groups. After reviews at several levels of the Nashville Police and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's work and reports,the U.S. Department of Justice closed the case in August 2017.

Sarah Zeinab Chan is a South Sudanese former professional basketball player and lead scout in Africa for the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Toronto Raptors,who grew up as a refugee in Kenya. She is the first woman to scout for an NBA team in Africa. She is also the founder of Home At Home/Apediet Foundation,a non-governmental organization that combats child marriage and advocates sports and education for girls. Pamela Yvette Price is an American attorney and civil rights activist who served as the 30th district attorney of Alameda County from 2023 to 2024. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
The Alameda County District Attorney's Office is the legal agency charged with prosecuting felony and misdemeanor crimes in Alameda County,California. The most recent district attorney was Pamela Price,who served from 2023 until her recall in 2024. Her deputy,Royl Roberts,is serving as acting district attorney until a replacement can be appointed by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors.
