Nandini (born 6 June 2007) [1] is an Indian football player from Punjab. She plays for the India women's national football team as a midfielder or goalkeeper. She plays for Odisha Football club and is registered with the Football Association of Odisha for the domestic tournaments.

Early life and career

Nandini is from Chandigarh, Punjab. Her father Vijay Kumar is a Class IV employee and her mother works as a domestic help. She did her schooling at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, Chandigarh. [2]

Career

Nandini started as a forward but later decided to become a goalkeeper following the suggestion from their coaches and senior players to take advantage of her height. [3] Earlier, she was selected for the under 17 team. [4]
