Established in October, 1988, Nanjing Publishing House is under Nanjing Press and Publication Administration located at No.8, Hunan Road, Nanjing. In 2001, Civilized City, the publication of Nanjing Publishing House won the 8th Jiangsu Book Excellence Awards second prize. As of 2007, Nanjing Publishing House had published 289 books. In 2013 and 2018, Nanjing Publishing House won Advanced Press and Publications Award in Jiangsu. Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province of the People's Republic of China. It is a sub-provincial city, and a megacity. The Pearl Spring Chess Tournament was a double round robin chess tournament event featuring six super-GM players that took place in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. The first edition in December 2008 was won by Veselin Topalov. According to ChessVibes website, Silvio Danailov - the manager and coach of Topalov - said the Pearl Spring tournament has been "guaranteed for five years and will enter in Grand Slam [in 2009]." The second and third tournaments in 2009 and 2010 were both won by Magnus Carlsen, with his first win being rated as one of the best performances in chess history.

Construction on the station began on 10 January 2008, and the station opened on 28 June 2011, two days before the opening of the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway.
The Former Residence of Gan Xi, known as the Grand Courtyard of the Gan Clan, is located on Zhongshan South Road, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. It lies next to Nan Bu Ting (南捕厅), the South station of the former Nanjing Police Station. It was built in the reign of the Jiaqing Emperor (1796–1820), the Qing dynasty, and its first owner was Gan Xi's father, Gan Fu. Originally known as "Fraternity Hall" (友恭堂), it now serves as the Nanjing Folk Museum.

The Nanjing Great Hall of the People, which serves as the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress and the National Theatre of Drama and Music and Art Gallery, was built in 1936, and is located at No. 264, Changjiang Road, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The gross floor area being 5,100 square meters, the 4 story hall was built up of reinforced concrete, facing south. Its original name was the National Great Hall and the hall was renamed in 1949.

The Wang Hanzhou residence, built in the late Qing dynasty, is located at 83, Hebei Avenue in the New River area. The wood building is in the traditional Chinese courtyard style and open on three sides. Built of brick with dimensions of 42 by 12 metres, the structure has a courtyard, atrium, and dwelling rooms. Ornate, high relief wood carvings were made in the doors and beams of the house in the designs of birds, figures, and flowers. A half-moon shaped hall is situated on the top floor of the three stories. The residence has views of the pier and the New River. It is considered a masterpiece of residential architecture in Nanjing.
I Lo-fen is a Taiwanese scholar and writer. She received her Chinese Literature Ph.D. from National Taiwan University. She has been an associate professor in the Division of Chinese in Nanyang Technological University’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences since July 2006, and was the Head of the Division (2014-2016). She had formerly committed in institutes like the National Taiwan University, Tamkang University, Fu Jen Catholic University, and the Institute of Chinese Literature and Philosophy at Academia Sinica. In addition, she was also a visiting professor at Stanford University in the United States and East Asian Institute at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. Her research expertise lies in Text and Image Studies, Su Shi studies, East Asian literature and intercultural exchanges in Classical Chinese, and Singapore literature, history, and arts studies. She is also a board member of the China Su Shi Studies Society, and an international board member of the Korea Society of East Asian Comparative Literature. She is the Founder and Honorary President of the "Text and Image Studies Society"(文图学会) that was official registered in Singapore on 18 December 2017. By integrating the history of Chinese literature and arts, she has accomplished a series of researches on poems in paintings and poetic imagery. She then proposed the idea of the “Text and Image Studies”(文图学) and focused on the relations, comparison and intertextuality between poems and paintings. From there, she has established her literary theory in arts creation and culture of aesthetics. She is also a column writer of Singapore Lianhe Zaobao (2007-), and she hosts podcast "Lofen says".

The Shanghai–Nanjing–Hefei high-speed railway (上海至南京至合肥高速铁路), also known as North Riverside high-speed railway (北沿江高铁), is a high-speed railway line currently under construction in China. The line is 554.6 kilometres long and has a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph). It is part of Shanghai–Chongqing–Chengdu high-speed railway.
