Why Are You Like This is an Australian television comedy series that first screened on the ABC in 2018. It follows the adventures of best friends Penny and Mia, as well as Penny's housemate Austin. The series was written by Naomi Higgins, Humyara Mahbub, Mark Bonanno, with additional writing by Vidya Rajan, Michelle Brasier and Laura Davis.
Demi Lardner is an Australian comedian based in Sydney. In 2013, she won Raw Comedy in Melbourne and went on to win So You Think You're Funny? in Edinburgh for her comedy set. She regularly streams on Twitch, and co-hosts the podcast bigsofttitty.png with her husband Tom Walker.
Vidya Rajan is a Melbourne-based comedian, screenwriter, and playwright. She is best known for writing the 2022 play adaptation of Melina Marchetta's 1992 novel Looking for Alibrandi. Rajan also wrote for and contributed to the ABC comedy series Why Are You Like This, SBS's The Feed and ABC's At Home Alone Together. In 2023, Rajan was in the main cast of Aunty Donna's Coffee Cafe.
