Glenn Thompson is an Australian musician who first came to prominence in Brisbane, Queensland, playing in the popular local bands Madam Bones Brothel with Pearly Black and John Rodgers, and COW with Robert Moore and David McCormack. Thompson played drums with Robert Forster of The Go-Betweens on his second solo album Calling from a Country Phone in 1993. He then toured Europe in 1994 with Forster and members of German band Baby You Know, Robert Pöschl and Michael Schott. For Robert Forster's world tour of 1996, Thompson was joined by Adele Pickvance on bass. Thompson and Pickvance were called Warm Nights after Forster's fourth solo release which was also titled Warm Nights.

Anywhere Festival is an annual Brisbane based festival for performance anywhere but traditional theatre spaces. The first anywhere-but-in-a-traditional-theatre concept was brought to Brisbane in 2011 by creative director Paul Osuch and his partner, Ally McTavish. Their theory is that we need to take traditional story-telling out of theatre buildings and back to where life really takes place, in the community.
The Cremorne Theatre was a theatre in South Brisbane, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia that operated, with interruptions, from 1911 to 1954. Although nothing remains of it today, the general location retains its cultural significance from the first half of the twentieth century as a theatre precinct, thanks to the nearby construction of Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in 1985. Its name lives on in the new Cremorne Theatre, one of the venues within QPAC.

Lale played the hooker position for his club Acacia Ridge Magpies Junior Rugby League team which he has been a part of since 2010. Lale won the 2015 Pacific Award for achievement in the Junior Performing Arts Category in New South Wales on 2 September 2015, Best performance in Live Theatre Best Actor at the 37th Annual Gala Young Artist Awards in Los Angeles on 13 March 2016 and was a finalist in the Queensland Young Achiever Awards 2016 where he opened the event and won the People's Choice Award in May 2016.

The Paisley Pirates of Penzance is a satirical theatre production originally performed at La Boite Theatre's late night cabaret La Bamba on 8–10 February 1985. The satire coincided with Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance, the opening production of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's Lyric Theatre on 7 February 1985. The Paisley Pirates of Penzance was directed by David Pyle and Sean Mee.
