Tolkien's fantasy novel Lord of the Rings , reflecting the influence of Peter Thiel, who has other financial endeavors with names inspired from Tolkien fantasy: Mithril Capital ( mithril ), Palantir Technologies ( palantír ), Valar Ventures (Valar).
