Nash Icon Records is an American country music record label established in 2014 by Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus Media. Nash Icon Records is located on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. The label launched with country music icon Reba McEntire. [1]
The idea for Nash Icon Records was forged between Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Label Group and John Dickey of Cumulus Media. [2] On May 13, 2014, the record company was announced, and on June 18, 2014, Jim Weatherson was hired as the General Manager. [3]
The label is a strategic partnership with Nash Icon, a spin-off of Nash FM owned by Cumulus Media, and was designed to feature well-known country artists from the last 25 years. [4] It produces and distributes content for a wide range of country music fans. [5]
Reba McEntire released her single "Going Out Like That" through the label on January 6, 2015. By March, it had broken into the Billboard Top 40 Country chart. On April 14, 2015, McEntire released her new studio album Love Somebody. It debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Top 200 and became the top-selling country album within a week.
On December 29, 2014, Martina McBride announced her signing. Ronnie Dunn signed with Nash Icon on January 12, 2015. In April 2015, Hank Williams, Jr. announced his signing.

Big Machine Records is an American independent record label distributed by Universal Music Group. Specializing in country and pop artists, Big Machine is based on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. The label was founded in September 2005 by former DreamWorks Records executive Scott Borchetta and became a joint venture between Borchetta and country singer Toby Keith. The company concentrates on publishing, management, and merchandising and oversees imprints, such as Valory Music, that are part of the Big Machine Label Group. Taylor Swift was the first client of the label.
KKOB-FM is a commercial FM radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is owned by Cumulus Media and it simulcasts a News/Talk radio format with co-owned KKOB. McBride & the Ride is an American country music band consisting of Terry McBride, Ray Herndon, and Billy Thomas. The group was founded in 1989 through the assistance of record producer Tony Brown. McBride & the Ride's first three albums — Burnin' Up the Road, the gold-certified Sacred Ground, and Hurry Sundown, released in 1991, 1992, and 1993, respectively — were all issued on MCA Nashville. Miracle on Broadway is an annual Christmas benefit concert by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson. Presented by Live Nation, the first of a planned annual series of benefit concerts was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on December 20, 2014 and featured musicians Reba, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Kacey Musgraves, Hayley Williams, Chad Gilbert, Charles Esten, Meghan Trainor, Martina McBride, Kix Brooks, and Deborah Allen performing renditions of various Christmas songs and tracks from Clarkson's Christmas album Wrapped in Red (2013). The concert raised over US$500,000 ticket sales and donations for four charities based in Nashville: Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, Monroe Harding Children’s Home, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Thistle Farms. Clarkson had also announced plans to turn Miracle on Broadway into an annual benefit concert and planned to hold one in Bridgestone Arena on December 18, 2015. However, this concert was cancelled due to Clarkson's health complications during her second pregnancy. The 2016 concert was held on December 16, 2016.
