The Last Poets is a poetry collective and musical group that arose in the late 1960s as part of the African-American civil rights movement and black nationalism. The name was inspired by revolutionary South African poet Keorapetse Kgositsile who believed he was in the last era of poetry before guns took over.
Jalaluddin Mansur Nuriddin was an American poet and musician. He was one of the founding members of The Last Poets, a group of poets and musicians that evolved in the 1960s out of the Harlem Writers Workshop in New York City.

The Farooqi dynasty or the Farooq Shahi was the ruling dynasty of the Khandesh Sultanate from its inception in 1382 till its annexation by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1601. The founder of the dynasty, Malik Ahmad participated in a rebellion against the Bahmani ruler Muhmmad Shah I in his early years. When he was compelled to flee from Deccan, he established in Thalner on the Tapti River. After receiving the grant of the fiefdoms of Thalner and Karanda from Firuz Shah Tughluq in 1370, he conquered the region around Thalner, which later became known as Khandesh. Landa Bazar is a 2002 Pakistani television drama serial aired on Prime Entertainment (STN). It is directed by Dilawar Malik and written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Premiering on 17 April 2002, the serial starred Tauqeer Nasir, Ali Zafar, Waseem Abbas, Kashif Mehmood, Babar Ali, Farah Shah, Mehmood Aslam, Jana Malik and Urooj. A sequel of the series, Laal Ishq was aired on A-Plus TV from 2017 to 2018.
Malik & the O.G's is a spoken-word performance band based in Liverpool. Its founder Malik Al Nasir put the band together in 2006, when he first recorded his poetry to music for his debut album Rhythms of the Diaspora Vol 1 & 2, which was released in on Mentis Records featuring Gil Scott-Heron and The Last Poets′ Jalal Mansur Nuriddin. Malik produced the album in 2006 and Malik & the O.G's produced a video with Emmy Award-winning director Mitchell Stuart for the song from the album Africa, an adaptation of one of the poems of the same name in Malik's book Ordinary Guy.
The madrasa of Tatar al-Hijaziya is located in the old Fatimid capital of al-Qahira, which became part of modern Cairo. Built during the second reign of al-Nasir Hasan, it also contained her mausoleum (qubba).
