Nat Panagarry (born 27 December 1990) is an English netballer who has won back-to-back Netball Superleague titles as captain of Loughborough Lightning and a Bronze medal at the 2019 Netball World Cup. [1] [3] [5]

Domestic career

Panacarry played for Yorkshire Jets while she was at university. She took a break from netball to work full time and travel, before being recruited to Loughborough Lightning by coach Karen Atkinson. [6]

Panagarry captained her team to back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024. [7]

International career

Panagarry made her England Roses debut in 2016 against Australia. [6]

After a prolific season at the Lightning, Panagarry was selected in the England 12-player squad for the 2019 Netball World Cup, going on to win the Bronze medal. [4]

Personal life

Panagarry started playing netball at the age of 9. She became engaged during the 2023 Covid-19 lockdown period and married her wife Katie in November 2023. [8] She has spoken about the support that netball provided as her wife underwent cancer treatment throughout the 2023-24 season. [9] [10]

Yorkshire Jets were an English netball team based at Leeds Beckett University. Their senior team played in the Netball Superleague. Between 2005–06 and 2011 they played as Leeds Met Carnegie or simply Leeds Carnegie. Together with the men's basketball, women's basketball, men's association football, women's association football and rugby union teams, the netball team was one of several sports teams associated with the Carnegie School of Physical Education, now part of Leeds Beckett University, that used the Leeds Carnegie brand name. In 2005–06, Leeds Carnegie were founder members of the Netball Superleague. As Leeds Carnegie, their best Superleague performance came in 2008–09, when they finished fourth. Between 2012 and 2016 they played as Yorkshire Jets. Their best Superleague performance as Yorkshire Jets came in 2015 when they again finished fourth.
