General Aviation (GA) represents the 'private transport' and recreational flying component of aviation.
Military aviation is the use of military aircraft and other flying machines for the purposes of conducting or enabling aerial warfare, including national airlift capacity to provide logistical supply to forces stationed in a theater or along a front. Airpower includes the national means of conducting such warfare, including the intersection of transport and war craft. Military aircraft include bombers, fighters, transports, trainer aircraft, and reconnaissance aircraft.
Brackett Field is a public airport a mile (2 km) southwest of La Verne, in Los Angeles County, California. It was named after Dr. Frank Parkhurst Brackett (1865–1951).

The Maryland Wing, Civil Air Patrol is the highest echelon of Civil Air Patrol in the U.S. state of Maryland. Its headquarters are located in Woodstock, Maryland. The Maryland Wing oversees 26 primary subordinate squadrons located throughout the state, including two school enrichment programs.
South Dakota Wing Civil Air Patrol is the highest echelon of CAP in the state of South Dakota. The wing headquarters is at the Rapid City Regional Airport in Rapid City, South Dakota. SDWG reports to CAP's North Central Region, which in turn reports to CAP National Headquarters at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The wing consists of squadrons, the basic unit of CAP. At present SDWG consists of three administrative squadrons and six "composite" squadrons that are composed of cadets and senior members. SDWG is currently commanded by Colonel David Small Jr.
