The Philippines' National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (Filipino : Pambansang Pangasiwaan sa Pagmamapa at Dulugang Kaalaman), abbreviated as NAMRIA, is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources responsible for providing the public with mapmaking services and acting as the central mapping agency, depository, and distribution facility of natural resources data in the form of maps, charts, texts, and statistics.
As provided for in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Administrative Order No. 31, series of 1988, which prescribed the guidelines implementing Section 22 (a) of Executive Order 192, our organization is mandated to provide the public with mapmaking services and to act as the central mapping agency, depository, and distribution facility of natural resources data in the form of maps, charts, texts, and statistics.
Four (4) technical branches are undertaking the networks of operation on map production and information generation. These are the Hydrography Branch (HB), the Mapping and Geodesy Branch (MGB), the Resource Data Analysis Branch (RDAB), and the Geospatial Information System Management Branch (GISMB).

As the sole agency of the government, NAMRIA with its Mapping and Geodesy Department (MGD) produces, maintains and updates base maps that will serve as basic inputs in various development activities of the government, the academic and scientific community, and the private sector.
These maps are produced based on data obtained from aerial photography and satellite imagery.

The Geospatial Information System Management Branch (GISMB) works toward the sharing, transfer, exchange, packaging and dissemination of environment and natural resources data. It develops and maintains information systems and environment and natural resources databases for use not only within NAMRIA but also by outside clients.
It also serves as the marketing arm of the agency for all its products and services.
The Engineering Services Department (ESD) is mandated to work and maintain the internet connection, maintenance of the agency data link server and all of the office computers, facilities and vehicle, instrument.

Hydrography is the branch of applied sciences which deals with the measurement and description of the physical features of oceans, seas, coastal areas, lakes and rivers, as well as with the prediction of their change over time, for the primary purpose of safety of navigation and in support of all other marine activities, including economic development, security and defense, scientific research, and environmental protection.
The World Geodetic System (WGS) is a standard used in cartography, geodesy, and satellite navigation including GPS. Prior to his appointment, he was DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations and Executive Director of the Minerals Development Council under the Office of the President in concurrent capacity.
USNS John McDonnell (T-AGS-51) was a hydrographic survey ship operated by the Military Sealift Command (MSC) with a contract crew for the Naval Oceanographic Office which assigned a military and civilian hydrographic detachment to conduct coastal surveys. The ship and its sister, USNS Littlehales (T-AGS-52), were replacements for the coastal hydrographic survey vessels USNS Chauvenet (T-AGS-29) and USNS Harkness (T-AGS-32).
National Natural Resources Management System is an integrated natural resource management system of India which aggregates the data about natural resources from the remote sensing satellites and other conventional techniques. One of the important elements of this management system is the National Resource Information Systems which acts as feeder information system to the larger information system of the Government, which includes socioeconomic information and models. NNRMS activities are co-ordinated at the National level by the Planning Committee of NNRMS (PC-NNRMS) which frames guidelines for implementation of the systems and oversees the progress of remote sensing applications for natural resources management in the country.

Under Penney's leadership, the new agency focused its assets into a decentralized structure with a lean staff to respond to the rising demands for geographic information by a variety of military users.
The Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia is a government agency responsible for providing hydrographic and marine geospatial data for the Republic of Croatia. The institute is located in Split, and covers scientific research and development, services related to the safety of navigation, the hydrographic-geodetic survey of the Adriatic sea, marine geodesy, design and publication of nautical charts and books, oceanographic research, and submarine geology research. The Croatian Hydrographic Institute is responsible for the development of navigational safety service in the Adriatic, within the worldwide navigational safety system, and in cooperation with the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, port authorities, the Croatian Navy, lighthouse authorities, and hydrographic offices of all maritime countries, following internationally agreed standards.
