Hans Folke "Hasse" Alfredson was a Swedish actor, film director, writer, and comedian. He was born in Malmö, Sweden. He is known for his collaboration with Tage Danielsson as the duo Hasse & Tage and their production company AB Svenska Ord. His most celebrated contribution to their brand of humorist humanism was his ability to extemporize wildly absurd comic situations, for example in the Lindeman dialogues.

In the Presence of a Clown is a television film by Ingmar Bergman, recorded for Swedish television in 1997 with Bergman as a director. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. It tells the story of a professor named Carl, who has been found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to treatment in a mental ward. In the hospital he befriends a man named Osvald, and they attempt to make and promote a film.
Pernilla August is a Swedish actress, director and screenwriter. Being one of Sweden's leading actresses and a longtime collaborator with director Ingmar Bergman, she won the Best Actress Award at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival for her role in his The Best Intentions. She is best known internationally for portraying Shmi Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.
Hour of the Wolf is a 1968 Swedish psychological horror film directed by Ingmar Bergman and starring Max von Sydow and Liv Ullmann. The story explores the disappearance of fictional painter Johan Borg, who lived on an island with his wife Alma (Ullmann) while plagued with frightening visions and insomnia.
Kenny Starfighter is a Swedish science fiction television series that follows the titular hero as he fights against the evil lord Dr. Deo. Although aimed at children, this show was popular with adults as well. A film, Kenny Begins, was made in 2009. In June 2022, it was announced that a new season of the series will premiere in the fall, and will take place 20 years after the first season. It began airing on September 21, 2022, and so far has only aired one episode. It is unknown if there will be any more in the second season.
Tre kronor was a Swedish soap opera that aired on TV4 during the period 1994–1999. The series took place in the fictional middle class suburb Mälarviken, located in the vicinity of Stockholm. The exteriors were filmed in Sätra, a suburb of Stockholm, and the interiors were filmed in a studio in Kvarnholmen as well as in Kungens Kurva. TV4 started Tre kronor in 1994 to compete for the viewers of SVT series Rederiet. Both shows aired in the same time slot and both had around 1-2 million viewers. The signature tune was written by Lasse Holm.
The Simple-Minded Murderer is a 1982 Swedish drama film directed by Hans Alfredson, starring Stellan Skarsgård, as the feeble-minded Sven Olsson. It was released to cinemas in Sweden on 12 February 1982.

Singoalla is a 1949 Swedish–French film directed by Christian-Jaque, starring Viveca Lindfors and Alf Kjellin. It is based on the romantic novel The Wind Is My Lover by Viktor Rydberg, which in turn is based on a medieval legend of the love between a Romani woman and a nobleman. It was produced in three language versions: Swedish, French, and English. The Swedish and French versions were entitled Singoalla. The English version had three titles: Gypsy Fury (USA), The Wind is My Lover (UK), and The Mask and the Sword (UK). The Swedish and English versions starred Alf Kjellin as the nobleman, but the French version starred Michel Auclair. All three versions were edited separately – even scoring is slightly different. The Swedish and French run over 100 minutes, the English only 63 minutes.
The Swedish Film Database is an Internet database about Swedish films, published by the Swedish Film Institute. It contains information about all Swedish films from 1897 onwards and foreign films that had cinema premiere in Sweden. It also provides many biographies of actors, directors, producers etc. who participated in Swedish films over the years. It is created with the support of the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation. The database comprises about 62,000 films and 265,000 people.
Beyond is a 2010 Swedish drama film directed by Pernilla August, starring Noomi Rapace, Ola Rapace, Tehilla Blad, Outi Mäenpää and Ville Virtanen. The original Swedish title is Svinalängorna, which means "The swine rows" and refers to the housing project where parts of the story are set. The film is based on the novel with the same name by Susanna Alakoski. It was shown at the 67th Venice International Film Festival on 6 September 2010 and got the International Critic's Week Award.

Jerusalem is a film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 6 September 1996, directed by Bille August, based on the two-part novel Jerusalem by Selma Lagerlöf. The film, also broadcast as a TV-series, was a Scandinavian co-production headed by Svensk Filmindustri. The film was selected as the Swedish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 69th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.
