Navajo Stirling (born November 7, 1997) is a New Zealand mixed martial artist and kickboxer who currently competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).[1] During his career in mixed martial arts, he has also been in the Shuriken Fight Series and the Hex Fight Series. He won titles in both competitions. During his kickboxing career, he has also competed for the World Kickboxing Federation, where he secured the K-1 World Heavyweight title. Stirling has a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He also has a regional amateur belt in Muay Thai.[2]
Stirling was born as Rongotehengia Navajo Hunter Stirling.[1] Stirling stated that he had started fighting at 19 years, when he believed he had no direction in life. Before fighting, Stirling had worked in warehousing [2]
Kickboxing career
According to Conan Daily, Stirling has a kickboxing record of 19 wins, 2 losses, and 10 draws. On September 9, 2022, Stirling beat Jesse Astill at a king in the ring event, securing the K-1 Light Heavyweight title in the World Kickboxing Federation.[citation needed]
