Nawazish Ali Khan is a television producer. [1] His productions are Bohubrihi (1988-1989), Ayomoy (1990-1991), Jalsha (1994). He is the CEO at Global Television. [1]
Khan won the National Award for Best Producer in 1975 and 1976 consecutively for his production of Bornali. [1] In 2023, He won Ekushey Padak for his contributions to arts. [2] [3]
Khan started his career in television media with Pakistan Television on 29 November 1967. [4] He worked there til 1972. Khan didn't get the chance to return home, even after Bangladesh earned its independence in 1971. Then, escaping from Pakistan in October 1972, he returned to Bangladesh, passing through Afghanistan and India. He joined Bangladesh Television as a producer. Eventually, he started his job with a musical programme. After that, he produced a programme titled Ratna Dwip. After completing 28 years of tenure, he retired from BTV as the General Manager in 1999. [5] He joined Ekushey Television in the same year as Head of Program. In 2002, after the shutdown of Ekushey Television, he joined ATN Bangla as the Head of Program and later Advisor (Program). He worked at ATN Bangla for more than 15 years. In 2019, he joined Global Television as its CEO. [6]

Among his notable works are Bornali, a subject-oriented hourly musical show, for which he won the National Award for Best Producer in 1976; Jalsha, which featured Bangladeshi bands; and Eid Special Program Anondomela, which has been hosted by personalities like Annisul Huq, Abed Khan, Dr. Sanjida Akhter, Abdullah Abu Sayeed and Jewel Aich, among others. Khan has also produced the first SAF games for BTV, which were planned by Mustafa Monwar.
Khan collaborated with Humayun Ahmed in multiple projects, including his first television drama, Prothom Prohor, in 1983. [11] [12] The duo created TV productions like Janani, Gach Manush, Kobi, Matir Pinjirae Bondi Hoia, Himu, Ojatra, Esho Nipobone, Ouija Board, Nimful and others. His works also include television shows Shoptoporna hosted by Abdullah Abu Sayeed and Jodi Kichu Mone Na Koren hosted by Fazle Lohani. Khan has also won the National Award for Best Producer in 1975 for magazine shows and other programs. His work Jononi has been recognized with a merit certificate from the United Nations, while Korean Broadcasting Network has awarded "Kaajer Gaan", an episode of Bornali, with a merit certificate.
Mahbubul Haque Khan, known as Azam Khan, was a Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, record producer, and lead singer for the pop-rock band Uccharon. He was also a freedom fighter who took part in the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. He is considered to be one of the greatest artists in the history of Bangladeshi folk music and a founding figure of Bangla rock.
Humayun Ahmed was a Bangladeshi novelist, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and academic. His breakthrough was his debut novel Nondito Noroke published in 1972. Syed Ali Ahsan was a Bangladeshi poet, writer and university academic. He was awarded Ekushey Padak (1982) and Independence Day Award (1987) by the Government of Bangladesh. In 1987, he was selected as the National Professor of Bangladesh. He was credited as the official English translator of the National Anthem of Bangladesh.
Bande Ali Mia was a Bangladeshi poet, lyricist, novelist, dramatist, essayist, children’s writer and journalist. He was awarded the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1962 and Ekushey Padak in 1988.

Rahat Khan was a Bangladeshi journalist and litterateur. He wrote more than 32 novels. He won Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1973 and Ekushey Padak in 1996 by the Government of Bangladesh.
Shahed Ali was a Bangladeshi litterateur and cultural activist. Aside from being an educationist and his journalism, he was one of the founders of the nationwide Tamaddun Majlish which initiated the Bengali language movement. He edited multiple magazines, was the founding secretary of the Islamic Academy, and is best known for his magnum opus, the short story Jibrailer Dana.
Ekushey Padak is the second highest civilian award in Bangladesh, introduced in memory of the martyrs of the Bengali Language Movement of 1952. The award is given to recognize contributions in a number of fields, including culture, education, and economics. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs administers the award.
Abdullah Al Mamun was a Bangladeshi playwright, actor, and filmmaker. He earned the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1978 and the Ekushey Padak in 2000 from the Government of Bangladesh. As a filmmaker, he won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice for the direction of the films Ekhoni Somoy (1980) and Dui Jibon (1988).
Abul Hayat is a Bangladeshi actor. He is also a writer, civil engineer and director. He earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Daruchini Dwip (2007) and was awarded Ekushey Padak for his acting in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He portrayed the Misir Ali character in the television film, Onno Bhuboner Cheleta.

After a successful career as a fashion model, she started her acting career in 2012. She acted in feature and short films. Her debut film released in 2015. She debuted as a filmmaker and screenwriter with her short film Hunger. She published her first book named 'Aatma'(‘আত্মা’) in Ekushey Book Fair 2023.
Masud Ali Khan was a Bangladeshi television, film and stage actor. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2023 by the government of Bangladesh.
Shamsuzzaman Khan was a Bangladeshi academician, folklorist, and writer who served as president of the Bangla Academy from June 2020 until his death in April 2021. He also served as the director general of the academy during 2009–2018. He was notable for editing book series on folk culture of 64 different districts in 64 volumes and collections of folklore series in 114 volumes. He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2001, Ekushey Padak in 2009 and Independence Day Award in 2017 by the government of Bangladesh.

Captain Khan is a 2018 Bangladeshi action thriller film directed by Wajed Ali Sumon and written by Delowar Hossain Dil. The film was produced by Selim Khan under the banner of Shapla Media. It features superstar Shakib Khan, Shabnom Bubly, Samraat, Misha Sawdagor and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead roles. It also features Amit Hasan, Sadek Bachchu, Don and Shiba Shanu in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Anjaan starring Suriya and Samantha. The film had a nationwide theatrical release on Eid-ul-Adha 2018.
