Naypyitaw State Academy (NSA) is a state-run university in Myanmar's national capital of Naypyidaw. Located in Zabuthiri Township, the university includes the faculties of arts, science, laws, economics, medicine, social studies and sports. [1] [2] NSA opened on 9 November 2022, to enable students from Naypyidaw Union Territory, including the children of civil servants, to pursue higher education without moving to urban centres like Yangon and Mandalay. [2] [3]

The university offers a six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) program. Since 2014, UVS renamed its BVSc degree to DVM and, since then, all new graduates received DVM title instead. It accepts about 100 students a year. It has launched a four-year Bachelor of Animal Science (BASc) program since 2014. The University Entrance Examination or Matriculation Examination is an academic examination administered to 10th standard students at all schools in Myanmar, including government schools, comprehensive schools and private boarding schools, for students seeking university admission. The test is administered at least 3 weeks after the Basic Education High School Examination. Test results determine the eligibility of high school students to pursue higher education, and their entrance into select universities and majors.

Thein Aung was the Chief Minister of Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar from 2011 to 2016. He is a former brigadier-general in the Myanmar Army and was a member of the ruling military junta, the State Peace and Development Council. He is also a former Minister for Forestry.

City Mart Holdings is one of Myanmar’s largest retail outlet, employing more than 8,000 employees. The City Mart Group started as a modern supermarket in 1996 in the north wing of Bogyoke Aung San Stadium but has since expanded into many different aspects of modern retail trade such as supermarkets, pharmacies, bookstores, baby stores, convenience stores and bakery & coffee shops. The stores are primarily located in the cities of Yangon, Mandalay and NaypyitawNow it also expanded in some major towns in Upper Myanmar.

The National Museum of Myanmar (Naypyidaw) is a modern museum located near the Kumudra circle, in Ottarathiri Township, Naypyidaw, Myanmar (Burma). Besides the older National Museum of Myanmar in Yangon, it is the second of the two national museums for Burmese art, history and culture in Myanmar.

Major General Zaw Hein is a former Burmese military officer and incumbent commander of the Naypyidaw Command.
