Biography

Ndue Ukaj studied Literature at the University of Pristina. He is the former Editor of the "Identiteti, a magazine of art, culture, and society (2000–2001), published in Pristina.

He is a regular contributor to the daily press in Albania, Kosovo [b] , North Macedonia and Montenegro. He has written articles about literature and critical essays, some of which have been published in translation. His poems and texts are translated into English, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Swedish, Turkish, Dutch, German, Romanian, Chinese. PRIZES:

He has written many books, including "Godo is not coming", which won the national award "Azem Shkreli" for best book of poetry published in 2010 in Kosovo.[ citation needed ]

He has also won the award for best poem in the International Poetry Festival in North Macedonia "Days of Naim".

Adem Zaplluzha was one of the most prolific Kosovan Albanian poets. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown, Prizren, and graduated from the School of Pedagogy at the University of Pristina. After that he worked as a teacher for a while in several villages near Prizren and then as a legal translator at the Kosovan Electricity Corporation after that until the end of his career. He started writing and publishing literature from his childhood with his first poem being published in 1957 in the Pionieri literary magazine. At the Kosovan Electricity Corporation he co-founded the literary club 'Kosovan Poppies' which later published some of his works most notably in the 'Ngjyra e Kohës' anthology. His works were published in a wide variety of literary and non-literary publications in Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Romania.

Faruk Myrtaj is an Albanian novelist, poet, translator and engineer. Myrtaj was born in a small mining town in Vlora. He was deprived the right for higher education (University) because of the communist regime, then in power. Only after 9 year was given to him the possibility to continue University, in the Mining Engineering Faculty of the University of Tirana, where he graduated in 1988.
