Neha Kapur (born 31 March 1983) is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Femina Miss India 2006 and represented India at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant. She is married to Kunal Nayyar.

Early life

Kapur was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi Hindu family. She learned classical dance [1] forms when she was very young. She had four years of training in Bharatanatyam and eight years in Kathak. [1] Kapur holds a degree in fashion design from the Pearl Academy. Her sister, Nina Kapur, was a newscaster.

Career

In addition to winning the Femina Miss India Universe 2006 crown, Kapur also won the Femina Miss Fresh Face and Femina Miss Photogenic awards in the pageant. [2]

Kapur represented India at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant held on 23 July in Los Angeles. [3] She made the semifinals to the top 20.[ citation needed ]

Femina Miss India 2019 was the 56th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant. It was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai on June 15, 2019, and was hosted by Karan Johar, Manish Paul and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. At the end of the event, Anukreethy Vas of Tamil Nadu crowned Suman Rao of Rajasthan as her successor. She represented India at Miss World 2019 in London and placed 2nd Runner Up.

Femina Miss India 2020 was the 57th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire Femina Miss India contest was held digitally for the first time in the contest's history. The competition was divided into four stages, with the grand finale taking place on 10 February 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Mumbai.
