Neil Bedford

Neil Bedford (born 13 December 1981, Bradford, [1] England) is a British photographer, known for his work in advertising and being the official Kasabian photographer. [2]

Education and career

Bedford studied photography in London, first gaining a First Class Honours in fashion photography at BA level before being award a Distinction for his MA, both at the London College of Fashion. [1] [3] [4]

He started touring with Kasabian in 2011 after he met them through Aitor Throup on the set of their music video for Switchblade Smiles. He has photographed numerous bands, musicians, actors and sports stars including Pharrell, Liam Gallagher, Kobe Bryant, Ed Sheeran, [5] Nico Rosberg, Wiz Khalifa, Ian Brown, ASAP Ferg, Jamie Dornan, Rupert Grint, Lionel Messi, Leon Bridges and Ray Winston. In 2016, Bedford released his first publication in collaboration with Kasabian, [1] titled UNDERDOGS, which documented their two shows at The King Power Stadium in light of Leicester City winning the Premier League. [8] The book was a limited edition run of 500 which sold out in two days.[ citation needed ] He was then commissioned to shoot the band's album artwork for their For Crying Out Loud [9] record which released in 2017, knocking Ed Sheeran from the number one spot in the UK and giving Kasabian their fifth number one selling album. [10]

Bedford is currently represented by the photographic agency Making Pictures, London. [4] [1]

Rhythm guitarist Sergio Pizzorno became lead songwriter and co-producer for the band. It is also their first album to feature guitar contributions from Tim Carter, who would become the band's touring guitarist in 2013 and a full-fledged member of the band in 2021.

"Re-Wired" is the second single from Kasabian's fourth album, Velociraptor!. First released digitally, the single has also been released as a limited 10 inch vinyl on 20 November 2011. Only 1,000 copies were made and were quickly sold out in 3 days through pre-orders. A part of the song was used at half time in live Premier League football matches on Sky Sports during the 2011/2012 season, when a small round up of incidents during the match was played before a commercial break.

Loose Tapestries is an alternative music project consisting of Sergio Pizzorno (Kasabian), and comedian Noel Fielding. It was formed in 2012 to provide music for Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy. Their first album, Loose Tapestries Presents the Luxury Comedy Tapes, was released on 2 March 2012 as a digital download, and made available as a very limited edition of 500 records for Record Store Day on 21 April 2012. Kasabian touring members Ben Kealey and Tim Carter also worked on the album, while some of the designing was handled by regular Kasabian collaborator Aitor Throup.
