Neil Grant is a Scottish musician best known for his work composing football anthems. He is originally from the Scottish highland village of Culbokie in The Black Isle.

Career

Grant's most recognisable work is the folk-anthem he composed for Heart of Midlothian Football Club, which was performed live before the kickoff of the Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle Park at the request of the club. [1]

He has also written anthems for Ross County, [1] St Johnstone, [2] St Mirren F.C., and Cowdenbeath. [3]

Grant's background is mainly in heavy metal music, and he recorded and toured as a drummer with RAAR and End of level boss, [4]

2012 Scottish Cup Final Football match

The 2012 Scottish Cup Final was the 127th final of the Scottish Cup. The match took place at Hampden Park on 19 May 2012 and was contested by the Edinburgh derby rivals, Hibernian (Hibs) and Heart of Midlothian (Hearts). It was Hibs' 12th Scottish Cup Final and Hearts' 14th. It was also the first time the clubs had met in a Scottish Cup Final since 1896.

Season 1976–77 was the 93rd football season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Football League for the 71st time, the Scottish Cup for the 82nd time and the Scottish League Cup for the 30th time.

The 2020–21 Scottish Premiership was the eighth season of the Scottish Premiership, the highest division of Scottish football. The fixtures were published on 6 July 2020, with the season beginning on 1 August, following Scottish Government approval due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland.
