Nejc Cehte (born 4 September 1992) is a Slovenian handball player who plays for RK Eurofarm Pelister and the Slovenia national team. [1] He represented the country at the 2020 European Men's Handball Championship. [2] [3]
Cehte was raised in Stolovnik, Slovenia. His older brother, Klemen Cehte, inspired him to play handball. [4]

The European Men's Handball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national handball teams of Europe and takes place every two years since 1994, in the even-numbered year between the World Championship. In addition to crowning the European champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and World Championship. Rokometni klub Gorenje Velenje, commonly referred to as RK Gorenje Velenje, is a Slovenian handball club from Velenje that competes in the Slovenian First League, the top tier of Slovenian handball. They play their games at the Red Hall. The club has won five Slovenian Championships and three Slovenian cup titles. Gorenje also participated in the EHF competitions for many seasons, including the EHF Cup, the EHF Cup Winners' Cup, and the EHF Champions League. Together with Celje, they are the only club that have participated in every season of the Slovenian First League since its formation in 1991.
