Nelson Catalina (born December 9, 1950) is an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach at Arkansas State University from 1984 to 1995. [1] [2]

Nolan Richardson Jr. is a former American basketball head coach best known for his tenure at the University of Arkansas, where he won the 1994 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. Elected to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014, Richardson coached teams to winning a Division I Basketball National Championship, an NIT championship, and a Junior College National Championship, making him the only coach to win all three championships. During his 22 seasons of coaching in NCAA Division I, Richardson made a post-season tournament appearance 20 times.

Sidney Alvin Moncrief is an American retired professional basketball player. As an NCAA college basketball player from 1975 to 1979, Moncrief played for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, leading them to the 1978 Final Four and a win in the NCAA Consolation Game versus #6 Notre Dame. Nicknamed Sid the Squid, Sir Sid, and El Sid, Moncrief went on to play 11 seasons in the National Basketball Association, including ten seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a five-time NBA All-Star and won the first two NBA Defensive Player of the Year awards in 1983 and 1984. He was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019.

Robert Patrick Petrino is an American football coach. He was hired as the head coach at Missouri State University on January 15, 2020. Previously, he served as the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals football team from 2014 until being fired during the 2018 season. He previously held the post from 2003 to 2006. From 2008 to 2011, Petrino was the head football coach at the University of Arkansas. He was dismissed from that position in the spring of 2012 "with cause". Arkansas State faced University of Arkansas in the first round of the NIT, their only meeting in men's basketball.

The 1977–78 Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represented the University of Arkansas. The Head coach was Eddie Sutton. He coach the Razorbacks from 1974 until 1985. During his tenure as head coach, the Razorbacks ended the season either first or tied for first in the Southwest Conference four times. Under the Razorbacks were invited to the NCAA tournament nine times. The most successful season was 1977-78 when the team reached the Final Four. The Razorbacks lost in the semifinals to the Kentucky Wildcats 64-59 at the Checkerdome arena in St. Louis, Missouri.
