Born Neon Adejo Yunisa on October 24 in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Nigeria, he is the eldest of six children. Raised in a Muslim family, he later converted to Christianity,. [4] [5] a transformation that significantly shaped his musical career and mission to spread the gospel through his art.
Neon began singing at the age of 13 and officially launched his music career in 2014 [6] . He gained widespread recognition with songs like “Eze Ebube,” “Chinecherem,” and “Breathe Upon Me,” which have become anthems in the gospel music community.
His debut album, Tell the World (2020), features 10 tracks and showcases his unique sound, followed by his first EP, Songs of Gratitude (2021), and his third album, Nothing But the Gospel (2022). These projects highlight his dedication to creating music that fosters worship and reflects his faith.
Beyond performing, Neon is the CEO of Kairos House Ltd., an entertainment outfit focused on nurturing talent, and the founder of Blackcentury Music, a prominent gospel label. He also leads Fire Nation Worship, a collective of musicians dedicated to intimate worship experiences, and organizes Christocentric Night Global, a music and fellowship event held in cities like London, Canada, and Lagos.
In 2024, Neon married Lade Kehinde [7] , marking a personal milestone. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in History and International Relations from Kogi State University, earned in 2013.
With a growing international presence, including tours in the UK, getting signed to TRIBL records, home to Maverick City Music [2025] and awards like the Kingdom Achievers’ Award for Songwriter of the Year (2023) and The Headies’ Best Inspirational Single, Neon Adejo continues to redefine gospel music for a new generation, drawing from his journey of grace and resilience.

His growing impact in gospel music earned him The Headies award for Best Inspirational Single in 2023.
Neon Adejo with the release of his second EP, Emerge, showcased a deeper dimension of his evolving sound and message. That same year, he won the ABGMA Best Praise and Worship award.
A new chapter unfolded as Tribl Records, home to Maverick City, announced Neon Adejo's signing to their music label on March 13th 2025 [11] . This partnership marks a significant milestone in his career, expanding his reach in the global gospel music scene.
