Julius Falkenstein was a German stage and film actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 180 films between 1914 and 1933. Falkenstein was Jewish, but secured a special permit to continue making films following the Nazi rise to power in 1933. He died of natural causes the same year, having made only one further film.
A Waltz Dream is a 1925 German silent drama film directed by Ludwig Berger and starring Willy Fritsch, Mady Christians and Xenia Desni. It was based on the 1907 operetta Ein Walzertraum composed by Oscar Straus. It was influential on the development of later Viennese operetta films. Unlike many of UFA's ambitious productions of the 1920s, A Waltz Dream managed to recover its production cost in the domestic market alone.
Her Dark Secret is a 1929 German silent comedy film directed by Johannes Guter and starring Lilian Harvey, Willy Fritsch, and Harry Halm. The film reunited Harvey and Fritsch who had previously appeared together in Chaste Susanne (1926), although this time their characters become a couple at the end of the film. Mischievous Miss is a 1930 German silent comedy film directed by Erich Schönfelder and starring Julius Falkenstein, Dina Gralla and Albert Paulig. It was made at the Staaken Studios in Berlin, with some scenes shot on location in Portugal. The film's sets were designed by the art director Heinrich Richter. It premiered at Berlin's Marmorhaus cinema.
