The Nervures Kenya is a French single-place paraglider that was designed by Xavier Demoury and produced by Nervures of Soulom. It is now out of production. [1]

Design and development

The Kenya was designed as an intermediate mountain descent glider. The models are each named for their relative size. [1]

A total of 334 were built during its production run starting in 1996. [2]

The Kenya Expé (Expedition) was designed as a lighter weight version of the basic Kenya. [2]

Kenya S and Kenya Expé S
Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 9.4 m (30.8 ft) span wing has a wing area of 22 m2 (240 sq ft), 34 cells and the aspect ratio is 4:1. The pilot weight range is 55 to 70 kg (121 to 154 lb). Glide ratio is 6.7:1. The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified. [1] [2]
Kenya M and Kenya Expé M
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 10.6 m (34.8 ft) span wing has a wing area of 26 m2 (280 sq ft), 38 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.4:1. The pilot weight range is 70 to 90 kg (154 to 198 lb). Glide ratio is 6.9:1. The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified. [1] [2]
Kenya L and Kenya Expé L
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 11.4 m (37.4 ft) span wing has a wing area of 30 m2 (320 sq ft), 38 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.4:1. The pilot weight range is 90 to 110 kg (198 to 243 lb). Glide ratio is 6.9:1. [2]
Kenya XL and Kenya Expé XL
Extra large-sized model for much heavier pilots. Its 12.6 m (41.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 34 m2 (370 sq ft), 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.7:1. The pilot weight range is 105 to 140 kg (231 to 309 lb). Glide ratio is 7.0:1. The glider model is AFNOR Standard certified. [1] [2]
